Mostly told by Hanna & Jack who are married and in an open relationship. They each have to tell the other how it goes and they can't keep secrets....yeah sure. Seb is their best friend and starts dating Riona. Andee & Graeme are part of the friendship circle and Andee helps out with the murder investigation. Blanche has some chapters told in the 1st.
Part 1 was a bit slow moving for me, but there was a nice zinger at the end to get me intrigued for part 2. Part 2 definitely picked up the pace. I do like when unsuspecting secrets are revealed after someones death, can't say I liked what it was in this particular circumstance though.
I liked the friendships between Hanna, Jack, Seb, Andee and Graeme. Jenny, Jack's stepmom, was a lovely lady. After the reasoning behind Hanna and Jack's daughter, Cait, being a bratty adult child is revealed I liked her progression into a more mature adult. She always seemed like a good mother to her daughter, Sofia, which was nice. The murderer was interesting ~ I'm not going to say too much more about that, except that the disorder brought me back to when I watched the soap opera One Life to Live back in the day, anyone watch that one?
Overall, this was fine, but it took me over a month to read it. I'd give this author a whirl again though.
Narration notes: I did not listen to this one, but am just giving the info above for reference.

I love a missing person story, add in 3 missing persons and it's 20 years old, sign me up!
Olivia's parts are told in the 3rd person. 20 years ago she was involved in an accident with 3 of her friends. When she woke up at the crash site they were gone and haven't been seen since. Jenna's parts are told in the 1st person as she investigates the disappearances for her podcast. I enjoyed her eagerness to get to the bottom of things. Stace's identity is a mystery for most of the book.
There are a few townsfolk that aren't too keen on Jenna sniffing around and bringing up old wounds. I wasn't a super big fan of Olivia's boyfriend, Wesley (even though that's my hubs name). He was a bit controlling. I can't say the twist surprised me, but that didn't bother me too much. It was a bit slow going in some spots, but overall I liked it well enough.

I was able to listen to an audio copy as well. Narration notes: I am so happy there were 2.

Featuring ~ multiple 1st person POV, dual timeline, 4 part story, dead bodies, murder mystery, Alzheimer's
Our narrators are: Saffy/Saphie (spelling in book vs in audio) ~ daughter to Lorna Lorna ~ mother to Saffy Rose ~ mother to Lorna (unreliable in present due to Alzheimer's) Theo ~ you'll have to find out his connection to the story on your own
I really like that this one was written in dual timeline in the present following Saffy and Lorna, and in the past with Rose. The story flowed along nicely and had some nice twists! I like how it was wrapped up.
I was able to listen to the final version as well, so I went back and forth reading and listening. It was narrated by Kenton Thomas and Nathalie Buscombe for 12 Hours 43 Minutes 56 Seconds, mostly easy to follow at 2.25-2.5x. Kenton had such a heavy accent that I had to slow his parts down. It was interesting that when there were on phone calls there was sort of an echo.
