Adorable! I just love Sarina's Vermont books. All that beer and cider and the pastries. This book was all beer and family and criminal exes. Nash is so adorable and Livia is so skittish and scared. And to get to our happily ever after we first have to survive Livia's ex and we have to make Nash's dad a bit less grumpy so that Nash wants to stay and work for the family beer business forever! And we love to read all about that!
Great romance! It was funny and sweet and sexy and vermonty and beery! READ IT!

Stella & Hudson. They meet at a wedding Stella was not invited to. She was crashing it with her bestie Fisher. But only because it was being held at her favorite place - the New York City library! And because the invitation for her ex roommate arrived after she became an EX roommate by leaving in the middle of the night with some stolen shoes and two months of unpaid rent. Hudson is the brother of the bride and extremely enchanted by this pretty party-crashing perfumist. But he hates lying. Been there, done that with his ex. But Stella doesn't disappear from his life - suddenly she's friends with his sister and she's asking his company for a loan for her perfume start-up.

ADORABLE!!
I really enjoyed reading it. There's really not much I want to say - I don't want to spoil things. It was such a cute and funny and sparky and perfumey and New Yorkey love story. You want to read it in one sitting - it's so sweet!
The big 'mystery' slash 'secret' that gets revealed toward the end ... well, it was a bit silly. We first heard about it at the 40% mark and immediately you know what is what and then it takes them the whole book to reveal it :/ a bit idiotic! BUT - I didn't really care all that much that it was done this way. Most books have those unnecessary drama moments. The story was still so very adorable and fun! Another thing... the title? Okay, the invitation is what brings them together in the first place, but naming the book after it makes it seem like it plays a much bigger role. Which it doesn't at all!
THE INVITATION was such a funny & sparky perfume/office romance! I loved reading it.Run to your nearest amazon for your own Hudson - this one is MINE!! ☺
