Elsie + Jack
Elsie is a doctor. Not a medical one. If she were, she might already have a great job. Nope, she works in physics and the pay sucks if you're not a real researching prof at a super cool university. Which is why she's jobbing a second job next to teaching at three colleges while waiting for her dream job. Her second job you ask? Hiring herself out as a fake girlfriend. Nothing illegal. Just play the girlfriend in front of his friends and family. One of those family persons is Jack. He's the super hot and grumpy brother of Greg - the guy she's been fake dating for a few months now - while pretending to be a librarian. And suddenly hot brother Jack is standing in front of her at her first job interview for MIT as not Jack but Jonathan! The most hated physicist in her field - which is not his field - his people adore him. And he's kinda the guy responsible if she gets hired or not.

ADORABLE!
Another perfect Ali Hazelwood STEM rom-com! I so need to see these books on Netflix!
Jack and Elsie are so adorable together. Both physicists but on opposite ends of the physic whatever. LOL. And the rest is also not a perfect fit - nothing really says: they belong together. But they so do! I just loved the way he tries to draw the real Elsie out of her people-pleasing old self. He's so sweet and calm and patient. And she's so not that. I loved the roommate's pet! LOL! I loved the brother and the grandma. I did not love the mentor and Elsie's family!
This was a really sweet and funny and slighty heartbreaking love story with some very serious and real health and science-world problems thrown in. I loved every word of it! I didn't understand all of them - but pfft - who cares.
Perfect STEM romance - can't wait to get more from Ali! GIMME!
LOVE, THEORETICALLY was such a sweet + funny + sparky + slightly sad physicists love story. I just adored it! Run to your nearest book seller for your own Jack - he'll be sold out in no time!

Well, I'm not sure what to say. I think I will put this whole review in a spoiler thingy - I feel like I would insult too many people otherwise! So if you're very religious or easily insulted... please don't read the following spoiler thingy. I might go on a bit of a rant in there. But you should also know that most people will love this book. It's a beautifully written love story with some or a lot of triggers for mental health / suicide thoughts and for anti-religious people like me! But I also really liked it, now that I'm done reading and thinking about it a bit. I especially loved the last 20% - I even cried a bit here and there! And I would definitely watch the movie!
(view spoiler)[I wanted to love this. I was so excited to finally read it. I love the cover!! But it was just way too much religion for me. I HATE religion and I would normally never read religious books, but I just adore Tiffany Reisz and her Original Sinners series, so I thought this couldn't be too bad either. I thought that this would be a sexy gay dramance and not a recruitment book for future monks. It was just way too much. I can mostly overlook all the religious moments in Tiffany Reisz's amazing series... But here. It was just too much. Way too much. And I didn't for one second understand why Aiden ended up there in the first place. It was extremely ridiculous. Whatever happened to him, or whatever he suffered from, he could've just gone to therapy or into a mental hospital for a bit. He just had to ask one of his many brothers for help. I know that it's not easy when you're in such a situation to ask for help, but ... I just didn't get the whole monk thing at all. And it takes him almost the whole book to talk about it and then it was even more ridiculous for non-religious people! The almost magic thing that happened? Which in the end was not magic or god at all. But it was still ridiculous. How and why and why in this second. Too much silly coincidence for me. But also the person responsible for saving his life - I SO need his story next! He was basically the best part of this book! Okay, back to Aiden's religious calling - it's not my job to understand religious things. I don't care about that at all. I liked the non-religious moments, but they were had to find. It was way too much talk about praying and too much explaining or rather monk-plaining. Too many redundant parts for someone who was looking to read a great romance. But as I just said, I liked the non-religious parts. The sexy and adorable and funny moments. But also. Ugh. I'm saying so much negative stuff here - don't worry - most people will love this book! I think what I also didn't love love was Aiden. Ugh. So sorry. He's 37 years old. But you wouldn't know it if he hadn't told us! He acts and thinks like a 17 year old. So immature and naive and ... no idea. It was just not my book! I really hoped that things might get better once we're traveling! And it got a little better, but only if you were looking to become a monk or a National Geographics photo journalist. This book is made up of 50% religion. 30% location-descripton. 15% sexy times or thinking about sexy times. And the last five percent are the cute and couple-y and adorable and funny beer and family moments. But as I said before, it's just me who didn't like it. It's very beautifully written. The average, typically pretty religious american reader, will love this. And I will keep on reading sexy books about priests and things like that - I usually like them when they're not too preachy and recruity. I really hope Father Jordan's book will be a bit better - which it might be, because he's planning to change things in the church. I'm really excited to read this! I know that the main point in this book is supposed to be Aiden's depression and his thoughts of suicide and how to heal from that or how to live a happy life with it. And for me it's just so unfathomable that people can do that by becoming a monk. But since there are so many religious people in the world, it probably is a good way to help people. If it prevents just one hopeless person from ending their life - I'm all for it!

ADORABLE!
What can I say? I'm a Sarina Bowen Junkie. I just adore everything she writes.
And I loved this small-town-rock-star-baby-daddy story just as much as I have loved all of her books. The very beginning was a tiny bit hard for me. I think it was just my mood that day, but I didn't really love the back-in-time sexy scenes and the scenes when we found out what happened the year before. No idea why. But it all felt a bit weird.
BUT - after that I really loved the story. The people! Amazing cast and location.
Little Vivi is just adorable. Brother Adam is such a great guy. Tour manager/momager Ethan was amazing - and the other two band members... can't wait to read their stories.
Lies & Lullabies was such a beautiful second chance love story. The title already lets us know what it's all about. Both our darlings did not really tell each other the whole truth ... but it's not as simple as that of course. And the reader has a great time watching that little family fight for their happily ever after. Can they forgive each other??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!☺
I don't want to say much more ... I don't want to spoil anything.
I wanted it to be longer - I wanted MORE!
But it was a really great romance! Funny moments. Rock-Stary moments. Sexy moments. Adorable daddy moments. Heartbreaking and sad and scary moments. I loved it
Also ... why the grrr hasn't Netflix knocked on Sarina's door yet??

ADORABLE!!
This was such a cute college romance.
Or rather roommate romance. We're basically just at home with Teagan and Caleb. Talking. Telling secrets. Arguing. And there's lots of sparkage, but of course we don't want to start something because he's leaving soon. Plus he's kinda dating someone.
But of course we can't resist the hot brit with his sexy accent forever.
But we're scared of what will happen once he has to go back home?! We're still all so very young. Will he come back? Are we going to London? What's with school? Will there be a jump in time even?
I really loved reading this. It was adorable and pretty slow with A LOT of way too much talking and not enough doing.☺ Caleb was amazing. Such a great guy. But he should've shown some tiny little bit more bad boy-ness. He was too good. Way too good to be true really. I hate unnecessary drama in books, but no drama at all was almost a bit boring.
But the love story was cute and funny and very moving. Both our darlings have some family stuff to deal with.
A very sweet New Adult romance with an amazing british hero!

Aww - that was adorable!
Such a funny and sweet and beautiful romance with some very serious and heartbreaking parts!
I loved Rhys and Parker! They're so not from the same worlds. She's this environmentally very green über-rich genius from New York and he's the rough ex-boxer from the bad parts of Boston.
But they are soo perfect for each other!
Both have sad things in their past but everything else couldn't be any more different. Their lives and backgrounds and heights ☺ - they're pretty much complete opposites .... but they just fit!
But of course her hiring him for money and him not fitting into her world might get in the way of a real happily ever after. But I'm sure we'll get there. ☺ And we'll adore every single moment of that journey!
I loved reading this book! It was funny and sweet and sexy and adorable!
I also wouldn't mind getting a book about the brother!! GIMMEE!
And if Netflix came knocking? I wouldn't mind at all! ☺

This fourth book starts right where book 3 ended. In the hospital with baby Clare and new parents Julia and Gabriel.
Once we're released it's all about baby, godparents, diapers, waking up in the middle of the night, family, friends, work.
But there's also this very suspicious car that Gabriel sees driving by the house a few times.
But we don't really have time to worry about that too much, because we need to decide if and how Gabriel can accept this new amazing job opportunity in Scotland without leaving his family behind!!

We're FINALLY back in Gabriel's world.
An amazing world full of Dante, grouchy professors, adorable babies, exciting and sexy moments and so much more.
I wanted to read this book in one sitting ...
but I also wanted to take my time! I never want this series to end!
I really enjoyed reading it.
I re-read the first three books to prepare for this one, because my Bookalzheimers is just way too bad. I couldn't remember most details about wha happened to our darlings!
I loved this fourth book. I adored the baby and daddy moments. Gabriel is just the most amazing & hilariously ridiculous daddy!
I also loved the whole mystery about the possible danger that this car might bring into our happy new lives. And all those problems about his work, her work, combining the two. Plus we have another little health mystery - we hope that nothing bad will happen there!!
I really loved this story. BUT now I have to say what I hated.
The first ?? 30% or so of the book ... ugh. I wanted to throw the book out the next window on page 2 in the first chapter. And then again in almost every chapter. I HATE RELIGION! I know the Emersons are religious. There was some of that - ok, a lot - in the previous books, but it was so much worse here. At least it felt like that to me. There was so much talk about god and praying and faith. I really wanted to stop reading. If it had been any other book, I would've stopped and I would've rated it 2 stars and I would've told the author to stop selling it as a romance, but to instead put it on the christian cult recruitment shelf. It was really bad. American readers will probably not have a problem with it, religion is so much bigger in America, but I just hate everything about it! I don't want it in my romances! Period! End of rant!
Two more tiny little things I hated. Julia. Why don't you just tell your husband things?!?! Life would be so much easier if people in books would talk to each other right away!
Plus, there was a bit too much professor-y-show-off Dante stuff in here. I didn't sign up for a college course. I wanted to read an amazing romance and not chapters after chapters of Dante and hell and faith and whatnot! I love the prologue - the tiny little heartbreaking glimpse into Dante & Beatrice, but that would've been enough for me!
BUT - as I said before... I loved this book!
And Dante and religion just have to be in this series. And because I love Gabriel and Julia so much, I didn't get too upset about all that stuff. ☺ I loved reading it and I can't wait to see the first book turned into a movie next year! #Passionflix
GABRIEL'S PROMISE was a perfect addition to this amazing series! Adorable, funny, mysterious, sexy, Dante-y. I loved it!
P.S. I think due to the relative 'openness' of the ending ... we might get at least one more book!!! EEEEP!!!! ☺☺☺

Back with our darlings from International Guy for one last time.
We're still dealing with the anonymous note-sender. Those little notes and texts are starting to sound really dangerous and threatening. Wendy is trying her best to find out who's behind it before someone gets hurt or worse.
Our first story takes us to Madrid to help a young girl find her inner and outer popstar. She's shy and her record company thinks she has to lose weight and have plastic surgery, but Parker, Bo and Sky know that they can make a star out of Juliet without changing her too much!
Book 2 is taking us to Rio. Parker's soon-to-be brother-in-law is having some embezzlement problems at his family's company and some private family problems too. Plus Skyler and Parker need some time away from Boston after everything that happend in the first story. ☺
Book 3 ... Los Angeles... we're going there to be in the jury of a dating show...but it ends up being a lot more! LOL!
But the main part during all three stories is the love story between Skyler and Parker and the crazy 'stalker' person!

Well, just like the other stories ... these 3 were really exciting and adorable and funny.
I'm sad to have to say good-bye now. I wouldn't mind staying with all these guys forever. A little story every few months would be amazing - to see what's happening in all their lives. ☺ (... and we kinda will, because Audrey is writing stories about Bo, Royce and Wendy!!!!)
You have to get used to the guys and the writing and the happenings in the books. But once you get to know them all - it's a really great world to read about!
I adored the stories.
The stalker thing is really exciting and dangerous and unfortunately a bit too obvious. No, not a bit, it's way too obvious. No idea if Audrey did that on purpose or if she just doesn't know how to build mysterious suspense in a story. It was a bit ridiculous. I wanted to throw my kindle out the next window a few times. And then Parker and the guys STILL don't get who is behind it after everything ... jeer deesus. I just couldn't believe it. BUT - it was still exciting and dangerous and adorable and funny. Just a bit not too well done with the mystery part.
I'm still not in love with all of Audrey's writing style. All characters talk way too weird for my tastes. All these HOW'S ABOUT WE (please someone tell me what that is all about? WHYYYY???) ... And I still don't like how Sky calls Parker Honey - it sounds so unmanly! And calling a partner MATE instead of lover, boyfriend, financé? We're not in a shapeshifter book. And, ugh - instead of just saying Thank you or Thanks when someone does something for you - they say My Gratitude brother! Jeez. Like in a bad black mafia/frat boy movie! And I hated the religious feeling throughout the stories - especially in the Rio book. Praying and sh*t - not in my romances please! If I wanted to read christian romances, I would do that - which I'm never ever gonna do. Ew.
BUT I really enjoyed these 3 stories! All 12 stories really. I liked hearing a bit about every city.
All characters are just adorable and hilarious!
Let's hope we'll get that happy end for SkyPark by the end of the 12th story! ☺

Parker, Bogart and Royce started their International Guy company right after college. It's a company to help women reach their full potential in the job or in life. Like for example the current client is a fashion designer in Milan who needs help with his 'normal' models. He created a line of lingerie for every woman out there. Small, large, big, all of them. But they're all untrained civilians. Our guys come in to help them walk down the runway. Be confident. Proud. Whatever is needed to make that fashion show a success.
That's Milan. Next up is San Fran to find a husband for a finance executive and then we'll go to Montreal to find a spy in a software company.
And all through those jobs Parker is in love with Hollywood superstar Skyler. Book #3 ended a bit shaky for our darlings, but everything is back on track ... for now. The paparazzi, jealousy, exes, fears and both their jobs are not making it easy ....

Well, that was so much better than the first three books. OK, the first ones weren't bad at all ... We had to get used to those guys and everything they are and do and want and say. They're still a bit frat-boy-ish in the way they talk and act. But they're also very talented in what they do and I really love that.
And I love the Parker-Skyler love story. #SkyPark ♥ All very adorable and erotic and frustrating! I hope it's not going back and forth between those two all through the 12 books!!! I want them happy and together.☺
And I want the other 2 guys to find their HEAs too!
I can't wait for the next book!
I really like how Audrey tells us a bit about every city we're in. Missed that a bit this time. I'm excited to see what will await us in the next stories!
Oh - a tiny thing I don't love. What is it with all the HOW'S ABOUT??? I would understand it if one of the guys would use how's about as the first words of a question (how's about we don't do that!), but others use it too! Is that a dialect from wherever Audrey is from? So very weird!! ☺ The whole talking thing is a bit weird in this book. They all talk weird! ☺
INTERNATINAL GUY, VOL II was a great 2nd book in this series. Erotic, fun, frustrating, exciting, adorable. ☺ Run to your nearest amazon for your own Parker, Bogart & Royce - they will be sold out in no time!!! I just adore those guys! Even though they might deserve a few slaps here and there. ☺

I just adored this book ... it was so adorable and moving. It made my heart hurt reading it, but I loved every single word!! Awwww that was soooo adorably hilarious!!
I just adored everything about Ava and Caleb from the very first moment!
You start reading and you just love those two. Caleb is so over-the-top rude to Ava. He thinks she's this little rich girl with her expensive designer clothes. And of course Ava insults him right back. I laughed all through the beginning of the book.
But the book has some not so funny moments too. We go back in time a few times. Back to teenaged Ava and her two best friends. And there are some other exciting and even scary moments along the way.
But mostly it's about Ava and Caleb and how they're dealing with not wanting anything serious, but at the same time, they can't stay away from each other. I just loved their foreplay fighting!
Getting those two to their happily ever after will not be easy! ☺
We also get to know some more people. Like Ava's bestie Harper - I really hope we'll get her book too ... and Leo and Caleb's siblings - especially JAMIE!
SAM, PLEASE GIVE ME ALLLL THESE BOOKS!
If we don't get at least Harper's book, I would have to complain that we heard a tiny little bit too much about her life in this book!
And while I'm complaining about things. I think the mega-rom-com-ness from the beginning gets a bit lost along the way. I would've loved some more of that sprinkled along the story. BUT ... the story was amazing the way it was... I just missed the fun a little bit ... The book was maybe a bit too long, with all their back and forth ...
Still - amazing book. I even shed some tears! ☺

I loved Ava & Caleb and I need more from that world!

I was so looking forward to reading this! Because I fell in love with a Penelope Ward cover ... again! And just like with the last cover, I love that Penelope really wrote Channing after Lucas on the cover. Perfect! Many covers these days suck!
The story beyond the cover though .... it wasn't my kind of story.
I don't know what it was. I didn't love the book from the very beginning. The writing was weird. They used words in conversations that two lawyers would use when writing legal letters to each other. No 25 year old would talk like that. So weird.
I couldn't find any sparks or any kind of blooming romantic connection between Channing and Amber in the beginning. And don't get me started on the names!!! Were all the other stripper names already booked? I really had a hard time picturing Lucas from the cover as Channing, because this other Channing always wanted to get in my head. Ugh.
I just didn't fall for the hero and the heroine. And I have to love them to love the book. I kinda liked Channing, because I wanted to so badly, but he still was way too meh for my tastes.
It was all so emotionless and unfunny. I only laughed once in the whole first half of the book!
Yes, there were some sad and moving and sweet moments and I really liked the story here and there. But then Penelope goes and turns it back into a love triangle or even a love fourangle and I HATE those. I HATE THOSE!!!! I just can't stand to see the 3rd person being left behind. If he's a really bad guy, no problem, but not when he's all sweet and nice. NO! That's just way too sad. I DON'T WANT THAT IN MY BOOKS! THERE NEEDS TO BE A LITTLE WARNING IN THE BLURB! And then the constant bla bla about how in love with their exes they still are?? WHY? Why come into our romance and be our hero and heroine when you want to be the star of another book with another partner?
No - soooo sorry Penelope - I love your books, but this one just didn't work for me.
This would be a 2-3 star thing for me, but the I loved the cover and a few parts of the story - so it'll be 3.9 or 4 stars. I don't want to chase away potential readers because of my reading weirdness. Other readers will LOVE Amber & Channing and their story!
I think, now that a couple of days have gone by since I've read the book and written this review .... maybe the book wasn't so bad? But maybe it was and I'm only trying to find something positive to say because I feel so bad for talking bad about the book. Ugh - no idea. PLEASE READ IT AND MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND - which is really what you should ALWAYS do - you should NEVER listen to what I say about anything! ☺☺☺ And I think/hope most people who read my review will still read the book BECAUSE or in spite of what I said - that's exactly what I would do if I would read such a review. ☺☺
GENTLEMAN NINE was a really sweet friends-to-lovers-second-chance-romance kind of thing! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Channing - this one is MINE!!!

I had to do a little re-read of HERO before I started VILLAIN. I couldn't remember much (#Booksalzheimers!) - but don't worry, you don't need to know HERO to understand this novella. BUT, Henry was already mucho adorable in HERO! So you might want to read it first ;) It's a really great love story. Caine and Alexa are soo adorable!
VILLAIN starts with our heroine Nadia at work. She's a broadcast meterologist and now finally happy in a good job at WCVB. But of course it was too good to be true - they just got a new boss, and he's horrible!! And he knows things about Nadia's past. Things she needs to keep hidden. That's why she starts looking into the 'Scandal of the Year' - just like her boss wants it. But of course she can't look into famous billionaire Caine Carraway's life without his best buddy Henry finding out about it and wanting to stop her .... but of course what starts out as a STOP DOING THAT - I HATE YOU - I DON'T TRUST YOU thing, quickly turns into something different ... Mega Sparkage!
What will happen with Nadia & Henry?? Will we get a Happily Ever After?? READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT! ☺

FINALLY HENRY'S BOOK! I loved him in HERO - well, I loved him again after my re-read - once I could remember him! ☺ He's this completely happy person. All mega-charming and sweet and kind and flirty and just happy in his job and life. But maybe not really happy with all his non-serious relationships. It might be time for The One! And then he hears about that stupid gossip reporter slash weather girl who is snooping into his best friend's history! Not gonna happen. But once Nadia and Henry meet ... he puts his über-charm and flirt-hat on. He's mega attracted and intrigued by this beautiful curvy girl. And she's equally attracted, but she tries to tell herself it's only sexual - but it's SO not! But trusting someone isn't easy for Nadia ....
