...more

...more

I basically ended up hating it, I found it predictable and terribly cheesycorny, and many other adjectives I can't think of now because I really just want to forget about it. I liked Fingersmith because of the great plot twists, which are totally absent here. I liked some of Tipping the velvet because of the characters, which are pale and so politically correct, sensitive to the point where I just want to see some violence done to them. Oh, there is some violence, this is set during the war and all, but it really just seems like an excuse to show how against it S Waters is.. And the whole start-from-the-end tactic? Oh no thanks. Just seems like a way of hiding how lame the whole story is, and it doesn't even work. It actually makes worse, if that's even possible....more

Nada del otro mundo pues....more

Very sad indeed, but that gives nothing to the story itself, I found, where nothing really ever happens. The only thing you keep is the fact that they have all lost someone important, their mother and for their father, a wife. I have read many books where the main character is a young boy or girl, but this one is not developed at all, do you just feel sorry for him? is that all that there is to this character? Is that a good thing? I don´t think so....more
