What did we learn this week? Reading: We read lots of back to school books dealing with feelings and manners! Math: We explored unifix cubes. We also practice counting the letters in our names. Discovery: We learned all about each other! We loved seeing what everyone had in their all about me bags!
Next week: We will begin our reading series learning letters A-H. We will also learn about numbers 0-5. *Please help your child with these letters/sounds and numbers. Ways to practice letters/sounds: ~Letter search on billboards as you are driving ~Magazine/book hunt for the letters ~Practice writing them every night Ways to practice Numbers: ~Counting out loud ~Counting objects ~Identifying numbers at the grocery store ~Practice writing them every night
Daily Behavior Folder Everyday your child will bring home a RED behavior folder. You are to initial it every day and return it to school. This will let you know how your childs day has been. If you have questions please e-mail or call me.
Each of these blocks is broken up into different activities for your children. I will go into more details about each aspect of our day during our Curriculum Night, which is Monday, August 25 at 6:00. I strongly encourage every parent to come!
