Girl band
My
magazine represents the social group white 13-18 year old lower-middle class
girls. For example I have used mostly white people in my images but represented
other ethnicities too so it doesnt seem discriminating towards other ethnicities. The
images are of 16-17 year olds and a mixture of boys and girls have been used as
girls like to be able to look up to other females but also read about boy gossip/boy
bands etc. My magazine doesnt really have an aimed social class audience but I
think lower-middle class girls would be most interested in my magazine as contains
gossip. The bands/artists used and the content of my magazine such as boy gossip,
fashion advice along with the colour scheme of purple and pink would appeal most
to 13-18 year old girls. Younger girls wouldnt be interested in this as they wouldnt
be listening to this type of music or be interested in gig tickets etc. Also older girls
wouldnt be interested in this type of magazine as they also would be interested in
other music e.g. dance, house etc. My front page would relate to a girley,
fashionable social group, interested in clothes, make up, boys and going out. For
example, boy bands, girl bands, well known artists, fashion advice and make up tips
all feature on my front cover. My contents also features more information about
these. My double page spread features a girl band and the gossip around their break
up which this social group would be interested in.
