EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The School Improvement Plan (SIP) is a
roadmap that lays down specific interventions
that a school, with the help of the community
and other stakeholders, will undertake within a
period of three consecutive school years. The
implementation of development activities
integral to it are in the school such as projects
under the Continuous Improvement Program
(CIP), the creation and mobilization of Learning
Action Cells (LACs), and the preparation of the
School Report Card (SRC). SIP seeks to provide
those involved in school planning an evidence-
based, systematic approach with the point of
view of the learner as the starting point.
Ultimately, it is envisioned to help schools reach
the goal of providing access to quality
education.
Together with the School Report Card (SRC)
they are the important elements of the
Department of Education’s (DepEd) School-
Based Management (SBM) thrust. In the spirit of
shared governance, the school with its
stakeholders collaboratively prepares the SIP
after a thorough analysis of their school and
learner situation. Likewise, the SRC is vital in
SBM for it serves as a communication and
advocacy tool to inform the stakeholders of the
school status and to encourage and inspire them
to take an active role in planning, managing, and
improving the school
(https://www.teacherph.com/school-improvement-
plan-sip/).
Thus, the Tanauan School of Craftsmanship
and Home Industries had crafted its Enhanced
School Improvement Plan that will be used in the
implementation of the programs, and projects
/activities for the continuous improvement of
the school for three successive years.
The activity was participated by the School
Administrator, Mr. Richard N. Laurente, the lead
teacher in making the Enhanced School
Improvement Plan, Mr. Ferdinand B. Songalia, SIP
Coordinators, Head teachers, and the different
stakeholders of the school.
The activity started with a prayer which was
led by the GPTA Vice- President, Mrs. Soyosa. It was
soon followed by the vision sharing which was
facilitated by the school head, Mr. Richard N.
Laurente. The attendees shared their insights on the
Dep Ed’s vision, mission, and core values and came
up with a common understanding that it is DepEd’s
vision with the help of the teachers to fulfil every
parent’s dream. A dream of transforming their
children into a well prepared individual.
It was soon followed by a brainstorming of
ideas as to what is best for the school. According to
the GPTA President, the school should come up with
different programs, projects, and activities that will
serve as an avenue for the school to increase its
performance. His Vice- President was amenable to
the suggestion and that on and in behalf of the
parents, they assure the school that they are very
much willing to help and support the school in all its
endeavors since all dream of TSCHI to be the top
performing Technical- Vocational school in the
region.
After a thorough collaboration and exchange of
ideas, the members of the SPT had committed to
perform their agreed roles and responsibilities by
affixing their signature in the letter of commitment
to ensure the full implementation and success of all
school projects.
