Activity 8.2 THE MINISCULE SCHOOL CURRICULUM: THE LESSON, A CLOSER LOOK
OBSERVE
This activity requires a full lesson observation from Motivation to Assessment.
Procedure:
1. Secure permit to observe one complete lesson in a particular subject, in a particular grade/year level.
2. Keep a close watch on the different components of the miniscule curriculum: the lesson
3. Follow the three major components of a curriculum (Planning, Implementing, and Evaluating/ Assessing).

1. How does the teacher whom you observed compare to the ideal characteristics or competencies of global
quality teachers?
 Since modular learning was implemented in San Cristobal National High School, there was a big
difference.
2. Was the lesson implemented as planned? Describe.
 Yes, since the most of the students answered the intended assessment allocated.
3. Can you describe the disposition of the teacher after the lesson was taught? Happy and eager? Satisfied and
contented? Disappointed and exhausted?
 While retrieving the answers of the students, the teacher was somehow between satisfied and
disappointed, because some answer the questions completely but some were not.

Based on your observations and tasks in Activity 2, how will you prepare your lesson plan? Make a
short paragraph on the topic.
Regardless of the components of a lesson plan, each one should build on the previous one and flow
seamlessly into the next. There are other guidelines to follow in addition to the major components of a
curriculum. Each one has some key components, such as the type and level of students, as well as their existing
knowledge, which allows us to continue with the lesson plan's flow.

 The Evaluation and Assessment section will determine whether or not the students were able to
attain their goals when they were able to achieve passing or above-average grades, and perform
admirably in the set of activities.

REFLECT
What lessons have you learned in developing or writing a lesson plan?

The lesson I have learnt from planning or composing a lesson plan is that the three components should
be align in order to achieve your goals. You must plan ahead of time the knowledge, skills, and values you want
your students to acquire, identify the best way to reach the desired goal, and give evaluation and assessment that
is anchor with your learning outcomes to determine where your students are at the time of learning.

What value with it give to the teacher if the three components are align?

If the three criteria are meet, the teacher will get the value of success. The components are arrange in a
logical order. Delivering success the pupils' learning and the efficiency of the lessons effectively.
