    EMERGENCY PROCEDURES FOR INJURY OR ILLNESS

    1. Remain calm and assess the situation.


    2. First aid shall be applied by the clinic teacher.
    3. A responsible adult should stay at the scene and give basic support until the person designated
    to handle emergencies arrives.
    4. Do NOT give medication unless there has been prior approval by the parent/guardian, and
    according to an individualized emergency action or healthcare.
    5. Call Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and arrange to transportation of the ill or injured
    student, if necessary.
    6. The school principal or a designated school guidance advocate should notify the
    parent/guardian of the Emergency as soon as possible to determine the appropriate course of
    action.

    OTHER PROCEDURES IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

    1. Financial assistance for medicine and other needs be include in the GPTA budget to
    support the students in case of emergency (injury, illness that happened inside the
    school campus.) The Child Protection Committee will formulate a financial plan and
    present to the GPTA during the board meeting.
    2. The committee shall see to it that the appropriated amount shall be available at any
    time to give assistance to the victims in case of emergency.
    3. Report regarding the incident should be filed in the office including the liquidation
    report of the disbursed of financial assistance.

    This School Child Protection Policy will take effect upon its approval.
