RIVER RAFTING: GRADES OF
DIFFICULTY
❖ Grade I: Very Small Areas, Easy Waves, Mainly Flat Water. No
Manoeuvring Required
❖ Grade II: Some Rough Water. There May Be Some Rocks. Some
Manoeuvring Required
❖ Grade III: There May Be Difficult Passages. Due To Bubble, The
Water May Look White. Requires Significant Manoeuvring.
Experienced And Strong Paddling Skills Are Required.
❖ Grade Iv: There May Be Large Waves And Rocks. Requires Sharp
Manoeuvring & Experience.
❖ Grade V: Extremely Difficult Level. Large Waves, Large Rocks And
Large Volume Of Water. Requires Very Precise Manoeuvring.
Participants With Advanced Experience Should Attempt
❖ Grade VI: Rafters Can Expect To Face Huge Waves. Demands Great
Physical And Mental Toughness. Can Cause Serious Injury Or Death.

Wing.
