SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN

GRADE 7 MATHEMATICS

Date: February 20, 2023

CONTENT: Geometry

CONTENT STANDARDS: Demonstrates understanding of key concepts of geometry of

shapes, sizes, and geometric relationship.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: The learner is able to create models of plane figures

and formulate and solve accurately authentic problems involving sides and angles of a
polygon.

LEARNING COMPETENCY: 1. derives relationships of geometric figures using

measurements and by inductive reasoning; supplementary angles, complementary
angles, congruent angles, vertical angles, adjacent angles, linear pairs, perpendicular
lines, and parallel lines. M7GE-IIIb-1

I. OBJECTIVE:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to
1. define geometric relationship between two angles (supplementary &
complementary angles);
2. illustrate the relationship on angle pairs; and
3. solve for the measurement of each of the angle pair using inductive
reasoning.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
Topic: Angle Pairs: Supplementary & Complementary Angles
References: Grade 7 Mathematics /ADM Module
Materials: picture, laptop,

III. PROCEDURE

A. Preliminary Activities:
1. Routinely Matters
a. Prayer
b. Greetings
c. Classroom Arrangement
d. Checking of Attendance
e. Review: Who am I?
Direction: Given the pictures below, which of them is angle? Why?
2. Preview: State the lesson objectives
3. Motivation: Tourist Spot!
Direction: Observe the given picture below and answer the given
questions.

1. Can you recognize where does this picture taken?

2. How many mountain ranges can you see?
3. Can you identify spot different types of angles in the given picture?

B. Activity: Parts of an Angle!

Direction: Think-Pair-Share: Identify the following parts of angles using
the given picture with your partner and measure each angle using the
protractor. Label each picture with letters of your choice and answer the
following.

1. The sides of the angles

2. The angles adjacent to
3. The common vertex
4. The measure of each angle

C. Analysis
1. Why are these angles not adjacent?
2. Do these angles have the same measurement since they have one
common point?
3. What do you think is the relationship of these angles to one
another?
D. Abstraction
Complementary Angles
If the sum of the measures of the angles is 900.

Supplementary Angles
If the sum of the measures of the angles is 1800.
