EARLY LANGUAGE LITERACY AND NUMERACY (DIGITAL)
May 2021- April 2022
I. Introduction
The Department of Education (DepEd) is intensifying its reading program through
the implementation of the Early Learning Literacy and Numeracy Program (ELLN). This
activity will capacitate schools for the successful implementation of the ELLN Digital.

This is in line with the President’s Ten Point Basic Education Agenda which states
that ‘every child should be a reader by grade 1’. This will enable teachers to develop
reading and writing skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills of K – 3 learners.
Thus, this SLAC program is designed to introduce San Jose Elementary School’s k to 3
teachers on how to access to the courseware and course guides. This will enable them
to improve reading and numeracy skills of kinder to grade 3 pupils.
