Thermal sprayed layers have pores that make
them susceptible to corrosion. Consequence:
Aggressive gases or liquids can penetrate
through these porous structures leading to
oxidization on the substrate. A possible and
unsightly effect of this undermining corrosion
is the flaking or failure of the thermal spray
coating.

thermal spray layers and thus help to build a
permanent corrosion protection barrier.
