1. The current educational system which the K+12 in my
opinion is more effective meeting the present-day conditions and problems in the Philippines because it promotes global competency to our graduates in other countries. Unlike the old system K+12 makes our students to be prepared in their chosen field. K+12 also promotes a more active role in the learning process with the freedom and the flexibility to choose what they will learn, how they will learn, and how they can evaluate your own learning. With K to 12 educations, it can open new opportunities and increase the chance of finding a stable job. Students can acquire more skills, and find the career that they really love. 2. Our schools practice idealism where the teachers are model of good character and has a mastery of the lesson but does not encourage the teacher centered learning process. Realism is observed in our school because teachers use the students’ senses in the learning process through doing and experimenting rather than listening. Pragmatism is also evident where the teachers are educating the students practical in life and help them grow 3. We Filipinos learn best by doing things and applying them in the real world which is the Learning by Doing Theory of John Dewey. Since learning is long life process, we Filipinos must adapt and learn ourselves to every changing thing happening to us. For instance, we can read, learn, watch videos and memorize everything but it cannot replace the knowledge you gain from actual experiences. 4. For me, an effective and efficient teacher is well prepared, organized, resourceful and clear. Teacher who lacks this quality is very alarming and might be grounds for dismissal.
