18-DAY CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES

CREATIVE WRITING

Guidelines and Mechanics

1. The competition is open to all bonafide students of Don Honorio Ventura State University
- Apalit Campus.
2. Each course/program and year level shall have only one (1) participant.
3. Contestants must create a creative piece out of a given word. This will be formed in an
acronym and each letter must have a writing composition aligned with the theme
“Misanmetung tamu ngan, ita ngan, DACians, amanung EVAW, Makiagum Ka’t
Manalakaran”.
4. Contestants will be given an hour to write a creative composition about the given word.
The writing will be performed in one continuous session only.
5. Entries should be in English with about 300 words in length. Contestants are expected to
write their entries on yellow paper.
6. The contest proper will be held face-to-face on December 05, 2023 at DAC Library.
7. The official winners will be announced on December 07, 2023 and shall receive
recognition and certificates.

Criteria for Judging

● The criteria for judging will be as follows:

DIGITAL CAMPAIGN POSTER MAKING

Guidelines and Mechanics

1. The competition is open to all bonafide students of Don Honorio Ventura State University
- Apalit Campus.
2. Each course/program and year level shall have only one (1) digital campaign poster entry.
3. The digital campaign poster must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme
“Misanmetung tamu ngan, ita ngan, DACians, amanung EVAW, Makiagum Ka’t
Manalakaran”.
4. The contestants may use any editing software or mediums for digital artwork (adobe
photoshop, paint, etc.)
5. The campaign poster shall possess the following specifications:
● The campaign poster must include information about the advocacy pertaining to
protecting the rights of women against any kind of violence. It may consist of any
text and/or graphics that highlight the theme.
● The finished posters must be 8.5” x 11” inches (300 DPI) in size, in a portrait
format.
● Any artwork or element on the poster must be original in design. Thus,
participants must avoid using elements which could possibly subject it to
copyright infringement.
● A short explanation and description of the artwork (in English or Tagalog) limited
to 3-5 sentences must be attached upon the submission of the digital campaign
poster entry.
6. Official entries will be uploaded to the Facebook page of the GFPS-Student Advocates
DAC for online voting.
7. The deadline of submission of entries will be on December 01, 2023.
8. The official winners will be announced on December 07, 2023 and shall receive
recognition and certificates.

VIDEO SPOOF COMPETITION

Guidelines and Mechanics

1. The competition is open to all bonafide students of Don Honorio Ventura State University
- Apalit Campus.
2. Each course/program and year level shall have only one (1) video entry.
3. The entries shall be aligned with the video "#KababaeMongTao Kaya Kahit Ano Kaya
Mo" by Coca-Cola.
4. Video spoof entries must consist of the following:
● The video must consist of the original video and the spoof video which should
feature the advocacy pertaining to protecting the human rights of women and
children relevant to the theme “Misanmetung tamu ngan, ita ngan, DACians,
amanung EVAW, Makiagum Ka’t Manalakaran”.
● All entries must be 3 minutes (minimum) to 5 minutes (maximum) only, including
the opening and closing credits.
● Photos, video graphics, and any animations that are original, are encouraged.
However, copyrighted video, photo, and music material may be used but must be
duly cited.
● The concept and storyline of the entry should be an original idea but the flow of
scenes of the original video shall be followed. Plagiarism of any kind will result
in disqualification. Videos that have been previously published or released will
not be eligible as entries.
5. Official entries will be uploaded to the Facebook page of the GFPS-Student Advocates
DAC for online voting.
6. The deadline of submission of entries will be on December 03, 2023.
7. The official winners will be announced on December 07, 2023 and shall receive
recognition and certificates.

INTERPRETATIVE DANCE

Guidelines and Mechanics

1. The competition is open to all bonafide students of Don Honorio Ventura State University
- Apalit Campus.
2. Each course/program and year level shall have only one (1) group performance.
3. There shall be a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 performers. This number includes
the people who shall be on stage such as the performers, propsmen, etc.
4. Each dance entry will use the "Speechless (from Aladdin) by Noemi Scott" as the only
song to be interpreted or enacted, provided by the organization.
5. Narration is allowed but limited to 1-2 mins only. The competition is designed for each
entry to tell a story revolving around the theme “Misanmetung tamu ngan, ita ngan,
DACians, amanung EVAW, Makiagum Ka’t Manalakaran” through dancing.
6. The performers have the freedom to execute their own movements/steps and use minimal
props to fully express their dance concept. Dangerous props/stunts are strictly NOT
allowed.
7. The performance shall have a duration between 5 and 6 minutes, this includes the actual
performance, entrance and exit of dancers, setting up of props, and the like.
8. The contest will be held face-to-face on December 07, 2023 at DAC Covered Court.
9. The official winners will be announced on December 07, 2023 and shall receive
recognition and certificates.

BLEACHERS CHANT COMPETITION

Guidelines and Mechanics

1. The competition is open to all bonafide students of Don Honorio Ventura State University
- Apalit Campus.
2. Each course/program shall have only one (1) group performance.
3. Each group shall have a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 50 members.
4. Each group must compose and perform a campaign yell about the theme “Misanmetung
tamu ngan, ita ngan, DACians, amanung EVAW, Makiagum Ka’t Manalakaran”. The
minimum length of the performance is three (3) minutes and a maximum of five (5)
minutes.
5. Each participating team shall submit a lyric or script of their campaign yell before the
performances begin.
6. The use of drums and other instruments is allowed, considering that the loudness and
clearness of the words are audible.
7. Recycled props and costumes are also allowed and highly encouraged.
8. The contest will be held face-to-face on December 07, 2023 at DAC Covered Court.
9. The official winners will be announced on December 07, 2023 and shall receive
recognition and certificates.
