Recreational Dance
• Is any dance form performed primarily for
enjoyment, social interaction, or fitness,
rather than for professional purposes.

• It aims to promote physical fitness, social


bonding, and emotional well-being.
ZUMBA
• An aerobic fitness program featuring movements
inspired by various styles of Latin American dance
and performed primarily to Latin American dance
music.

• Zumba also involves Dance and Aerobic elements.


History of Zumba
• Alberto “Beto” Perez a Colombian
dancer and choreographer, in the 1990's,
was the founder of this “happy accident”

• Created and started in 2001, and since


then, the Zumba program has grown to
become the world’s largest and most
successful fitness program.
