Murray (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Rockingham 22. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Kate Murray lives in New Castle, New Hampshire.[1] Murray earned a bachelor's degree in music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1974, a master's degree in music from the University of Connecticut, a doctorate in music education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1978, a master's degree in spirituality from Santa Clara University in 1992, and a doctorate in theology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1997. Her career experience includes working as a columnist with the Portsmouth Herald, an assistant professor with the University of California at Los Angeles, and a tech consultant. Murray has served on the board of the Portsmouth Athenaeum, on the New Castle Planning Board, and as the board chair of the Women's Fund of New Hampshire.[1][2]
