Luz Bay is a long-time resident of Dover, NH. She is a wife and mother of two young adults. Luz was born and raised in the Philippines. She came to the US to pursue graduate education. With a Ph.D. in educational measurement and statistics, she has been an educational assessment professional for almost 30 years. Luz is a three-time breast cancer survivor. She is a veteran of 13 marathons in three continents. Her life story is that of resilience and tenacity.

  • Luz Bay has been a champion of Democratic values for years, working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot as a grassroots activist and community leader in Dover. At the New Hampshire House of Representatives, she will be a strong voice for all students’ right quality public education, every woman’s right to choose and affordable healthcare, and all eligible citizens’ right to vote.
  • These are truly frightening times where politicians on both national and local levels are putting their personal and political agendas ahead of their oaths to uphold the Constitution. Indeed, a time I never thought would happen in our country where we learn on almost a daily basis how these officeholders engage in nefarious activities to undermine our very democracy and render our votes useless. There has never been a time in modern history where our choices for State Representatives have become so crucial. These times call for a genuine hero. Luckily, we have one in Dr. Luz Bay.
  • Luz Bay’s story is that of resilience and tenacity. She will be delivering results for hardworking Granite State families, and she will be in it for the long haul.

The areas of public policy that Luz Bay is passionate about are (1) quality public education, (2) school safety, (3) every woman's right to choose, (4) affordable healthcare, and (5) voting rights for all eligible citizens.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in New Hampshire

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
