A Christmas Reunion is a seasonal quest released with the 2024 Christmas event.

Official description[edit | edit source]

Help Diango out with getting his workshop set up for production in the Christmas Village.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Talking with Cait and Diango[edit | edit source]

To start the quest, talk to Cait or Diango in Diango's Workshop, to the east of the Christmas Village. Diango has been asked by Santa to take over toy production at the workshop and he needs your help to get production back on track as they are behind schedule.

Building the workbenches[edit | edit source]

Needed: 15 steel nails

First, you will be asked to help construct three workbenches at three pile of planks hotspots in the workshop. Each workbench will require five steel nails (other metals will not work) and one split fir logs, yielding a total of 50 experience in Construction split into 5 equal batches of progress.

To obtain the split fir logs, you will need to cut 3 fir logs from the fir trees just outside the workshop. Then, split the logs on the log splitting stump south of the trees.

Once you have the nails and split logs, go back into the workshop and build the workbenches on the three hotspots found in the northern part of the workshop. Whilst building the workbenches, a pesky snow imp named Toby may come and interfere. He can be interacted with to shoo him away; otherwise, he will knock you over and interrupt the construction process, leaving shortly after.

After all three workbenches have been fully built, talk to Diango or Cait to receive the next task.

Recruiting the pixies[edit | edit source]

Needed: A free backpack space
A player activates the magical thingymabob.

For your next task, Cait will now ask you to recruit pixies across Gielinor to work in the workshop. She will give you a magical thingymabob to help find them. There are 5 pixies in total, but you only need to find any 3, as the rest will follow once the majority have been convinced.

The pixies won't be immediately visible. Use the Scan option on the magical thingymabob that Cait gave you to locate them. Its status will change from "Very Weak" to "Weak" to "Moderate" to "Strong" to "Very Strong" depending on how close you are to the hidden pixie. Once you have a "Very Strong" status indicator, walk slowly around a few spaces until a pixie appears for you to talk to. Using the magical thingymabob to find the pixies is not required; walking into a pixie's area will trigger them into existence regardless of whether you used the device or not.

Return to Diango and Cait once you have sent 3 pixies back to the workshop to receive the next task.

Creating the pixie uniforms[edit | edit source]

Needed: A free backpack space, 1 red dye, 1 green dye, 6 bolts of cloth, 1 thread

The next task is to create Christmas uniforms for the pixies, as the brown costumes don't seem 'Christmassy' enough. Diango and Cait will send you to Iffie—located in Thessalia's Fine Clothes in Varrock—to receive a pixie uniform pattern.

Attempting to craft the pixie uniform pattern will reveal you need: 1 thread, 6 bolts of cloth, and 1 Christmas dye. To craft the Christmas dye, you will need to combine red and green dye by using one of the items on the other. If you have access to Lletya, an easy way obtain both dyes is buying them from Oronwen in the Lletya Seamstress shop.

Return to Diango and Cait with the pixie uniforms. They will have you pick a colour scheme for the pixies from: red and black, green and red, or candy cane. This will cosmetically change the pixies' outfits in the Workshop to the colouring of your choosing. You can change these later by speaking to Cait.

Stocking the kitchen[edit | edit source]

Finally, they will ask you to complete one last task: stocking the kitchen with biscuits and hot chocolate, based on the preferences of the five pixies dotted around the workshop. Their preferences are the same for all players; you will need 1 biscuits, 1 bucket of milk, and 1 chocolate dust. The milk and chocolate dust must be separate; chocolatey milk will not work. All necessary ingredients can be purchased by members from the Culinaromancer's Chest food shop (accessed via the chest beneath the Lumbridge Castle kitchen) after starting the Recipe for Disaster quest.

Pixies' preferences
Hot chocolate Biscuits
White 0 Shortbread 1
Milk 2 Chocolate chip 2
Dark 3 Gingerbread 2

Add the biscuits to the biscuit storage near Diango and Cait, specifying the correct number of each biscuit based on the pixies' preferences in the table above. Add the bucket of milk and chocolate dust to the hot chocolate storage a bit further south, again specifying the correct number of each type of hot chocolate based on the pixies' preferences in the table above.

Speaking with Diango and Cait one final time will complete the quest.
