The black partyhat is a seasonal tradeable item first released during the 2023 Christmas event.

It is a reward from Santa Claus in the Christmas Village and is planned to be a recurring Christmas reward.[1]

In early December, players can deliver up to three Letters to Santa per day to earn nice points. One nice point is counted by three letters earned, requiring a total of twenty-one letters to earn seven nice points (total of seven a week). Santa picks out a few lucky players based off nice points on every Sunday (8pm game time) to receive the black partyhat.

A black partyhat is on the ground next to Clementine. Players may attempt to wear or take it for some dialogue. Even though this object is technically an item, Telekinetic Grab can't be cast on it. It does not show up in area loot.

When a player receives a black partyhat from Santa Claus, a server-wide announcement is made, saying: Someone opened a gift from Santa and found a black partyhat!
