The dark cavalier is a piece of headwear. There are no requirements for wearing this cavalier and they do not confer combat bonuses upon the player character. To obtain a dark cavalier, the player can either trade with another player or rarely receive one by opening a hard reward casket. The dark cavalier can be stored in the treasure chest in a costume room of a player-owned house where it's classified as a hard-level item.

It can be stored in the hidey-hole in the Green Ghost Inn for a master clue scroll requiring the performance of a laugh.
