A white ewe (unchecked) can be obtained from the Farmers' Market for 30 beans. Their diet consists of flowers, vegetables, and fruit.
After checking the ewe, the player can place the animal in a medium pen. It needs a level of 35 Farming to check.
At each growth stage, the player is able to "harvest" from the animal, receiving some wool and 475 Farming experience. Elder ewes can grant the perk 'Have Ewe (Many Wool)' which allows the player to gain 2 wool on a successful shearing at tier 1 when they are placed in a pen which has a farm totem.
Every so often the animal will lay manure on the ground which can either be plain manure or green manure. These can be used as ingredients in making compost or supercompost, respectively.
White ewes may also be bred by using any ewe and ram during the in-game hours of 09:00-21:00.
