Action Planning
Students perform better if
they come to school. The
BPS district has had difficulty
with attendance rates,
especially with the older
students. My vision during
summer school is to increase
student attendance and
implement a plan that can be
utilized in the upcoming
school year. In addition, I
want to create a strong Math
curriculum that will be
utilized school-wide that is
appropriate and addresses
the Common Core Standards.
As part of my vision to
improve instructional
practices and improve
student performance on the
NYS Math tests, I will create
and design a curriculum
aligned with the common
core standards.
In order to implement my
vision of improving
instruction, I plan to
implement professional
development that will also
provide support, monitoring
and instructional rounds.
My vision will require
monitoring and
implementation of the
curriculum and also
supporting the teachers with
what they need in order to
implement this.
I will once again be in charge
of the Parent Engagement
committee and I will also
chair the beginning of the
year event in August that
welcomes the parents back to
school. During the event, I
will ask parents for input on
how best to assist them with
the Math curriculum. In the
past, we have had many
