At the end of this activity, the FS student must be able to achieve the following intended learning outcomes:
1. identify the strategies used by the teacher that promotes numeracy skills, literacy skills, higher order thinking
skill;
2. take an account on various strategies employed by the teacher; and
3. observe and categorize classroom communication strategies employed by the teacher that support learners’
maximum involvement and greater accomplishment.
LEARNING OVERVIEW:
Activity 1. focus on the pedagogical content knowledge that recognizes the importance of teachers’
mastery of content knowledge and its interconnectedness within and across curriculum areas, coupled with a
sound and critical understanding of the application of theories and principles of teaching and learning. This activity
further encompasses teachers’ ability to apply developmentally appropriate and meaningful pedagogy grounded
on content knowledge and pedagogy. It takes into account teachers’ proficiency in Mother Tongue, Filipino and
English in the teaching and learning process, as well as needed skills in the use of communication strategies,
teaching strategies, and technologies to promote high-quality learning outcomes.

• When I started observing in grade 3, their teacher always started with greetings, prayers and dancing.
Before Ma'am Eva presents the PowerPoint presentation, she always asks her student if they still
remembers what they discussed yesterday so that he can get to the next lesson. He pays attention to
each student to see if everyone is on the same page and if they understand it, because if not, he will
repeat it.
• Skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, creativity, and information literacy
are built and improved during the learning process, giving students the ability to successfully navigate a
variety of academic and real-world contexts.
• With the help of exercises that promoted critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork as well
as chances for feedback, introspection, and knowledge application in practical settings, the instructor
improved the abilities of her students.

Motivation Every day before Teacher Eva's class starts, she always makes each child
dance so that their bodies and minds are stimulated by listening. Incorporating
dance as a form of active learning, allowing students to express themselves
creatively and engage physically while learning.
Presentation of the lesson Teacher Eva use different visual aids to teach such as using multimedia,
storytelling, real-life examples, or interactive activities. So that each student
can learn different knowledge at the same time.
Development of the lesson Incorporating hands-on activities, group work, inquiry-based learning, or
choice-based assignments. That's when teacher Eva can see if her students
have improved in other things or if they can keep up with the different
languages used in our studies.

4 If you are the teacher, what possible learning principle(s) and strategy(ies) would you apply to elicit meaningful learning?
• Whether I were a teacher, I would ensure that students were actively engaged in their education by assigning homework,

having discussions, and working on projects. In addition, I would use resources like concept maps to assist students in
making connections between concepts and I would pose thought-provoking questions to get them to reflect carefully on
what they were learning.

• Among the principles of Learning, the most important to me is Learners master basic and component skills
through practice. Because if you do it every day, it will be memorized first, like in housework when you are
assigned to wash the dishes, it will be easy in the next few days.
2. What insight did you learn from the class activities that you have observed?
• I’ve discovered that active involvement is essential to successful learning while watching a grade 3 class.
When opposed to passive learning approaches, activities that promote engagement and participation
typically improve understanding and retention.
