옥스퍼드의 맨드레이크는 영국 옥스퍼드에 본사를 둔 전문 독립 출판사로 주로 오컬트 실무자들을 위한 '핸즈온(hands-on)' 서적을 출판한 것으로 알려져 있다.[2][3]이 회사는 1986년 골든 던 출판사라는 이름으로 시작되었으나 1988년 카톤 슈알(모그 모건[5] 창업자의 필명)이 성 매직(Sexual Magick)을 출간하면서 맨드라케로 이름을 바꾸었다.[4][6]맨드레이크는 매직, 오컬쳐, 탄트라, 델레마에 관한 글을 출판한다.[6]

창시자

맨드레이크의 설립자 모그 모건은 오컬트북과 인터뷰에서 1987년 알레스터 크롤리(맨드레이크 프레스 참조)에 대한 경의를 표하기 위해 이 이름을 선택했으며, 테레믹 전통을 계속 발전시키고 있는 새로운 작가들의 출판을 선호한다고 말했다.[8]
