|As a mom who has worked hard all her life to support her two sons, Kaela knows the constantly growing and changing struggles that working families face. She knows what it's like to worry about being able to afford healthcare bills while working 40+ hour weeks. Kaela knows what it's like to want the best possible eduction for our kids that prepares them early in their lives for long term success. Most of all, Kaela knows what it's like to work harder and harder, but taking home less in our paychecks as the result of an unfair tax structure that does not work for the people. Kaela is working for working families because it's time for us to start getting a fair deal in Minnesota. Kaela is going to be out knocking on your door to learn from and listen to you over the next year so we can work together to address our shared concerns and build hope.
- I have raised my two sons in Burnsville in the public school system.
- I have consistently worked multiple part-time jobs to make ends meet, often going without health insurance.
- I have a long history of labor and union organizing and understand the needs of working families.
Jobs that support families, affordable and accessible healthcare for all, fighting climate change through a just transition, and education that meets the needs of each student.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
