Robert Theberge (Republican Party) was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Coos 3. He assumed office on December 2, 2020. He left office on December 7, 2022.

Theberge (Republican Party) ran for election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Coos 3. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.

In February 2017, Theberge changed his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican.[1]

Biography

Robert Theberge was born in Berlin, New Hampshire. Theberge served in the U.S. Navy. He earned a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. Theberge's career experience includes working as a Russian interpreter/translator with the U.S. Navy, the vice-chancellor for international programs at the University of Arkansas, and a consultant for the World Bank.[2][3]

Elections for the New Hampshire House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent Yvonne Thomas, incumbent Robert Theberge and Alethea Lincoln Froburg were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Eric S. Catman, Sr. was unopposed in the Republican primary. Thomas, Theberge, Froburg and Catman faced off in the general election.[8] All three Democrats were successful, with Lincoln Froburg, incumbent Thomas, and incumbent Theberge defeating Catman in the general election.[9]

On November 4, 2008, Theberge won re-election by finishing first for the four-seat Coos 4 District of the New Hampshire House of Representatives receiving 3,283 votes ahead of Democrats Lucy Mears (3,038), Paul Ingersoll (2,879), and Yvonne Thomas (2,803), Republican Nathan Morin (1,455), write-in Weeks (306), and "Others" (26).[14]
