But seeing the multitudes he was moved with tender compassion for them, because they were faint and scattered, as sheep having no shepherd.

But he answering said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee: take away this cup from me: yet not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness:

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul, So that handkerchiefs or aprons were carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits came out of them.

And my speech and my preaching was not with the persuasive words of human wisdom, but with the demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

And he saith to them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then arising, he rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

And when they were come into the vessel, the wind ceased.

Ye know the word which was published through all Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.

And Jesus came and spake to them, saying, All power is given me in heaven and in earth.

And he came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. And they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority. And there was in the synagogue, a man who had a spirit of an unclean devil; and he cried out with a loud voice, saying, Let us alone: read more.
What have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy one of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And the devil having thrown him in the midst, came out of him, and hurt him not. And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What word is this, that with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out!

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. No one taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes and said, Father, the hour is come: glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he may give eternal life to all whom thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

And he calleth to him the twelve, and sent them forth by two and two, and gave them power over unclean spirits;

And calling together the twelve, he gave them power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the gospel of the kingdom, and to heal the sick. And said to them, Take nothing for your journey,

And when they were come together, they asked him, saying, Lord, dost thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? But he said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, the Holy Ghost being come upon you, and shall be witnesses to me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.

And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject to us thro' thy name. And he said to them, I beheld Satan falling as lightning from heaven. Behold I give ydu power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, read more.

In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness, but the darkness perceived it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a testimony, to testify of the light, that all thro' it might believe. He was not the light, but was sent to testify of the light. For we are all baptized by one Spirit into one body, whether we are Jews or Gentiles, whether slaves or freemen; and we have all drank of one Spirit.

And Paul laying his hands on them, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and they spake with tongues and prophesied. And they were in all about twelve men. And going into the synagogue,

And behold there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and religious, waiting for the Consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

And he arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace; be still. And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

Since then the children partake of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner took part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil:

Whose coming is after the mighty working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders,

according to what is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken, we also believe, and therefore speak:

By Silvanus, a faithful brother, as I suppose, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and adding my testimony, that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand,

And we are witnesses of these things, and also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

For we cannot but speak the things, which we have seen and heard.

But having obtained help from God, I continue till this day, testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what both the prophets and Moses have declared should be,

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power,

And having called to him his twelve disciples, he gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal every disease and every malady.

And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name they shall cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues: They shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them: they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

And they were not able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spake.

And the saying pleased the whole multitude; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith, and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch:

For God hath not given us the Spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and sobriety. Therefore be not thou ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel, according to the power of God, Who hath saved and called us with an holy calling,

But Jesus gave him no answer. Then Pilate saith to him, Speakest thou not to me? Knowest thou not, that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power over me, unless it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin.

Let every soul be subject to the supreme powers, for there is no power but from God; the powers that be, are appointed by God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the appointment of God; and they that resist shall receive to themselves condemnation.

And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead, will also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

But when they were gone out, they spread his fame in all that country.

I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then, neither is he that planteth any thing, nor he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. But he that planteth and he that watereth are one; and every one shall receive his own reward, according to his own labour.

Of which I have been made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effectual working of his power.

(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, wrought likewise effectually in me toward the Gentiles:

And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified thro' the Son.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder both of the soul and spirit, both of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, both to the Jew and to the Gentile.

So powerfully did the word of God grow and prevail.

Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God: and we also are weak with him; but we shall live with him, by the power of God in you.

And what the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the energy of his mighty power,

But if it be by the Spirit of God that I cast out devils, then the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God is come upon you.

who was of the seed of David, according to the flesh, But declared the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead,

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and sustaining all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high,

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world, to shame the wise, and the weak things of the world, to shame the things that are mighty: And the base things of the world, and things that are despised, hath God chosen; yea, things that are not, to bring to nought the things that are; That no flesh may glory before him. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who is made by God unto us wisdom,

Who being gone into heaven, is on the right-hand of God, angels, and authorities, and powers being subjected to him.

Which he wrought in Christ, raising him from the dead; and he hath made him sit at his own right-hand in heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

But Jesus answered them, My father worketh until now, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath, but also said, that God was his own Father, making himself equal with God. Then answered Jesus and said to them, Verily, verily I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do; but what things soever he doth, these also doth the Son likewise.

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. My Father, who gave them me, is greater than all; and none shall pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one.

For through him were created all things, that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible; whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; all things were created by him and for him.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him; yet the world knew him not.

All things were made by him, and without him was not one single thing made that was made.

and the strength, and the honour, and the glory, and the blessing. And every creature which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that are in them, I heard them all saying, To him that sitteth on the throne, and to the Lamb, is the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the power, for ever and ever.

saying, Worthy art thou, O Lord our God, to receive the glory, and the honour, and the power, for thou hast created all things, and through thy will they are, and were created.

Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who is, and who was, because thou hast taken thy great power, and hast reigned.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, both to the Jew and to the Gentile.

But to them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

For the doctrine of the cross is indeed to them that perish foolishness; but to us who are saved, it is the power of God.

And the apostles gave forth their testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus with great power, and great grace was upon them all.

And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

And they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.

And when Jesus had ended these sayings, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching, For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

But if our gospel also is veiled, it is veiled to them that perish; Whose unbelieving minds the god of this world hath blinded, lest the illumination of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them.

To the only God, our Saviour, be glory, and majesty, might and authority, both now and to all ages. Amen.

But ye shall receive power, the Holy Ghost being come upon you, and shall be witnesses to me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.

And suddenly there was a sound from heaven, as of a rushing, violent wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

but tarry in the city Jerusalem, till ye be clothed with power from on high.

But ye shall receive power, the Holy Ghost being come upon you, and shall be witnesses to me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth. And having spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up, and a cloud received him from their sight.

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye-witnesses of his majesty.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with power and great glory.

Since then the children partake of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner took part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil:

And having spoiled the principalities and powers, he exposed them openly, triumphing over them in him.

And he hath put all things under his feet, and hath given him to be head over all things to the church,

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the preaching might be fully known, even that all nations might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

I can do all things through Christ strengthening me.

Wherefore he is able also, to save them to the uttermost who come to God thro' him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

And be not afraid of them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather be afraid of him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Finally, brethren, be strong through the Lord, and through the power of his might.

Buried with him in baptism, by which ye are also risen with him, through the faith of the operation of God, who raised him from the dead.

For the kingdom of God is not in speech, but in power.

For those things of him which are invisible, both his eternal power and Godhead, are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being understood by the things which are made, so that they are without excuse:

And on a certain day as he was teaching, there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every town of Galilee, and out of Judea and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right-hand and the left:

Therefore be not thou ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel, according to the power of God, Who hath saved and called us with an holy calling,

What if God, being willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, yet endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted for destruction?

Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.

No one taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.

Him hath God exalted, a Prince and a Saviour with his right-hand, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

To say, Thy sins are forgiven thee? Or to say, Arise and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins (then saith he to the paralytic) Arise, take up thy couch, and go to thy house.

For which cause also I suffer these things: yet I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have trusted, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him, until that day.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,

For as the Father raiseth and quickeneth the dead, so the Son also quickeneth whom he will.

Verily, verily I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son also to have life in himself,

For which cause also I suffer these things: yet I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have trusted, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him, until that day.

And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom; to whom be the glory for ever, and ever.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world, of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.

Which indeed is the least of all seeds, but when it is grown, it is the greatest of herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches of it.

Yet that we may not offend them, go to the sea, and cast an hook, and take the fish that first cometh up. And when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money. That take and give them for me and thee.

And they all ate and were satisfied: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

And seeing a fig-tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon but leaves only. And he saith to it, Let no fruit grow on thee hence-forward for ever.

In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.

And Jesus came and spake to them, saying, All power is given me in heaven and in earth.

But at midnight Paul and Silas having prayed, sung an hymn to God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

Howbeit this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting.

But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and seas obey him?

Wherefore he is able also, to save them to the uttermost who come to God thro' him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

And they besought him, that he would not command them to go into the abyss. And there was an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him, that he would suffer them to enter into them.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder both of the soul and spirit, both of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And behold a leper came and worshiped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

To say, Thy sins are forgiven thee? Or to say, Arise and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins (then saith he to the paralytic) Arise, take up thy couch, and go to thy house.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, both to the Jew and to the Gentile.

Marvel not at this: for the time is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth, they that have done good, to the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, to the resurrection of damnation.

While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all that were hearing the word.
