The Gadderhammer is a two-handed members-only maul. It has the same stats as an iron 2h sword, but has no stat requirements.

Gadderanks invented this hammer to combat shades, which he feared and despised. During In Aid of the Myreque, players must fight and kill Gadderanks, and he will drop his hammer, which can then be used as a weapon. It deals more damage and is more accurate against shades, which makes it useful for the Shades of Mort'ton minigame.

If lost, the Gadderhammer can be bought by talking to Aurel in the Burgh de Rott general store for 3,000 coins.

Update history[edit | edit source]

This information has been compiled as part of the update history project. Some updates may not be included – see here for how to help out!
  • patch 10 August 2015 (Update):
    • An issue where the Gadderhammer was held incorrectly in both combat stances has been fixed.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • When the Gadderhammer was first released, there were no requirements, quest or level, to wield. This meant that any low level character could hold the Gadderhammer which offered excellent bonuses. This was changed in an update a few days after.
  • Prior to the Grand Exchange's introduction to the game, this item was often used to scam uninformed players due to many third-party fansites inaccurately listing the item's street value as high as 50,000 coins.
