Family Carers Networks

Inclusion North supports 2 families networks one in the
North East and one in Yorkshire and Humber. We do this
on behalf of the National Valuing Families Forum.
These networks are open to any family members of people
with learning disabilities and carers or workers who support
families from the North East or Yorkshire and Humber.
The meetings are informal and friendly gatherings where
we discuss issues that are important to family carers or
their family members.
New people are always welcome.

The networks support family members of people with

learning disabilities and those that support them to
Get good information on policy, new developments
and practical ideas about implementation
Share ideas, good practice and experiences
Contribute local families views & experiences to the
National Valuing Families Forum and the Learning
Disability Programme Board
Be a link between local Learning Disability
Partnership Boards, the Regional Learning
Disability groups and national decision makers on
the Learning Disability Programme Board
Inclusion North organise the meetings and make sure
everyone gets good information before and after the
meetings.
