The ghost hunter backpack is part of the ghost hunter equipment. It could be bought with the ghost hunter body for 8,000 reward points during the 2014 Halloween event. It comes in three levels: tier 1 is level 20, tier 2 is level 50, and tier 3 is level 70. If the free-to-play player has backpack equipped, the backpack will adapt to level 20 or 50 only.

Ghost Hunter equipment has a set bonus that increases experience earned and damage done against ghosts and related creatures. This bonus is 3% with one piece, 6% with two pieces, and 10% with three or more pieces of the set.

Since the Halloween event ended, it can now be obtained as a rare drop from ghost-type monsters, such as aberrant spectres.

This armour can be stored in the armour case of the POH. Make sure all four pieces are the same level by wearing them all, because they won't store if different levels.

If a player dies with any version of it in the Wilderness, then 30,000 coins will drop instead of the item.

  • patch 24 October 2022 (Update):
    • Ghost Hunter set bonuses are applied correctly now for both melee and ranged combat. Ghost Hunter set bonuses are displayed in the tooltip.
  • patch 8 May 2018 (Update):
    • Players will no longer be able to receive duplicate Ghost Hunter pieces if the set is stored in a Player owned House.
  • patch 23 October 2017 (Update):
    • Ghost hunter equipment will now always show a lootbeam.
