 The teacher will ask the student about what the previous topic was.
 The teacher will ask the class to give a recap of the previous lesson.

 The teacher will use the concept map to sort the most common reason

 The teacher will read the story


 Group 1 – List all unfamiliar words that will find in the story and give its
definition
 Group 2- What changes about life are confronting the characters in the
story?
 Group 3- Among these changes what do you think he values most? Why
do you say so?
 Group 4 If you were the characters in the story, how would you resolve
the changes.?

B. Analysis
After the activity, the following questions will be asked:

1. What changes about life are confronting the author in the story?
2. Among these changes, what do you think she values the most? Why do
you say so?
3. If you were Lolita, how would you face the changes?

C. Abstraction

 What is the story all about?


 What are the changes mentioned in the story?
 Why do we need to understand and overcome the changes?
 How can we survive life?

D. Application

 If you were Anita would you do the same by requesting from your mother
despite of your mother’s condition?

IV. Assessment
Directions:

 Draw the shawl, on the cloth list down events that happened in the story make
sure that the sequence of events is properly arranged.

V. Assignment
Direction: Study in advance the ‘’Four major text types’’ found on pp 444-445.
