코로는 바누아투의 고아 섬에서 사용되는 오세아니아어다.280개의 스피커는 고로 마을에 살고 있다. 고로 마을에 살고 있다.^[2]

코로는 바로 이웃인 도리그(300 sp)와 올랏(4 sp)^[3]과는 구별되는 언어다.

이름

코로라는 이름은 고유명사로 코로[kʊrʊ]라는 철자가 붙었다.그 단어의 CVCV 음절은 그 단어가 최소한 CVCV 음절 구조를 가진 프로토-토레스 은행 형태에서 온 것임을 나타낸다.^[4]

음운론

코로는 8개의 음소모음을 가지고 있다.여기에는 7개의 모노프통 /i a u u u/와 1개의 diph통 / /͡a/^[5]가 포함된다.
