Elder God Wars Dungeon, also known as God Wars Dungeon 3 and often abbreviated as EGWD or GWD3, is the third God Wars Dungeon, located within the ancient ruins of Senntisten. Like the previous two God Wars Dungeons, the dungeon consists of four "fronts", but rather than fighting each other, the four factions are those of the Elder Gods working together to attack the Senntisten Cathedral. This follows the Elder God Wars storyline.
Front | Elder God | General (Boss) | Release date |
---|---|---|---|
Nodon Front | Jas | Kerapac, the bound | 26 July 2021 |
Glacor Front | Wen | Arch-Glacor | 31 August 2021 |
Croesus Front | Bik | Croesus | 27 September 2021 |
TzekHaar Front | Ful | TzKal-Zuk | 25 October 2021 |
The Zamorakian Undercity | N/A | Zamorak, Lord of Chaos | 4 July 2022 |
The dungeon does not have any requirements to access. However, specific activities or enemies have skill requirements. Completion of Sliske's Endgame and City of Senntisten is recommended to unlock additional rewards and better understand the story.[1] The bosses do not require a killcount and skill requirement to access unlike the previous God Wars dungeons.[2] Wielding the Shard of Erebus, a post-quest reward from the Battle of the Monolith quest, renders the monsters in the dungeon unaggressive. Among the rewards, each front introduced a new god book based on each of the Elder Gods, as well as tier 95 Melee and Magic weapons and tier 90 Magic tank armour. The new weapons marked the first tier 95 items (excluding enchanted Bakriminel bolts) in game.
The dungeon is located within the intact portion of the city of Senntisten with the Cathedral of Azzanadra housing the eggs of the Elder Gods being the target of the invading armies. With the release of the Elder God Wars finale quest, Extinction, a dialogue box would inform the player they would be visiting the dungeon as it was before the events of Extinction when they attempt to enter the dungeon through the Ancient door.
Each front release came with a free death week, including no item reclaim costs on death and no loss of ring of death charges upon death.

Cathedral[edit | edit source]

The Cathedral is the central hub of the dungeon. The mortal gods' forces fight against the four Elder Gods' factions, to prevent them from seizing the eggs stored in the cathedral.
- The western cathedral doors are open to the Nodon Front.
- The southern cathedral doors are open to the Glacor Front.
- The eastern cathedral doors are open to the Croesus Front.
- The northern doors were already open since the release of City of Senntisten. The statue in the city square has collapsed, leading to the Senntisten sewers and the TzekHaar Front.
Following the release of the Nodon Front, the gods protecting the eggs received new dialogue weekly.
Nodon Front[edit | edit source]

- Direction of attack: Colosseum (north-west of the cathedral)
- General: Kerapac, the bound
- Music: The City of Senntisten
The Nodon Dragonkin have brought their siege weaponry to break the cathedral's walls, their minds manipulated by Kerapac into thinking they are laying a siege on the Elder God Jas. They are the first front to attack the cathedral. In order to face the Nodon in battle, the player must have a Slayer level of 92 or higher. In order to interact with the siege weaponry, the player must have a Construction level of 90 or higher.
Enemies in the front include:
- Nodon artificer (level 120)
- Nodon guard (level 120)
- Nodon hunter (level 120)
- Nodon engineer (level 150)
- Siege engine (level 150)
- Nodon enforcer (level 200)
Glacor Front[edit | edit source]

- Direction of attack: Aqueduct (south of the cathedral)
- General: Arch-Glacor
- Music: The Glacor Front (music track)
The Elder God Wen, having sensed the stalemate of Jas' forces, searched for her own army. She eventually turned to the Glacors on the planet Leng. Not wanting to persuade the creatures personally due to them being tainted with Shadow Anima, she instead created portals through which the glacors have arrived to Senntisten. They are the second front to attack the cathedral. In order to face the glacors in battle, the player must have a Slayer level of 84 or higher.
Enemies in the front include:
Croesus Front[edit | edit source]

- Direction of attack: Graveyard (east of the cathedral)
- General: Croesus
- Music: The Graveyard
Revived by Bik, Croesus is slowly absorbing all organic matter in its path. Unlike the other fronts, there are no enemies in this front; rather, skilling nodes can be harvested for materials, requiring level 88 in Hunter, Woodcutting, Mining or Fishing. Enhanced nodes may appear, which require 92 in said skill in order to be interacted with.
Skilling nodes in this front include:
- Colonised guard (Fishing)
- Dead guard (Woodcutting)
- Decaying guard (Hunter)
- Moulding guard (Mining)
TzekHaar Front[edit | edit source]

- Direction of attack: Sewers (north of the cathedral)
- General: TzKal-Zuk
- Music: Zuk's Chamber
The TzekHaar have burst from the fountain north of the cathedral, breaking into the city from the sewers beneath it. Unlike the other monsters, the TzekHaar do not require a Slayer level in order to be fought.
Enemies in the front include:
- TzekHaar-Kih (level 100)
- TzekHaar-Hur (level 70)
- TzekHaar-Xil (level 210)
- TzekHaar-Mej (level 240)
Generals[edit | edit source]
The generals of each faction are located at the end of each front. Unlike the previous two God Wars Dungeons, the generals in this dungeon do not require any killcount or skill requirements to access.
Kerapac[edit | edit source]

A renowned Dactyl dragonkin, Kerapac has been forced back to Jas' service following the events of Desperate Measures. Coming with two Elder Artefacts, the Siphon and the Needle, Kerapac's power and the mastery of time allows him to rewind time and bring forth copies of himself to assist him in fighting challengers.
Rewards from subduing Kerapac in normal mode include the scripture of Jas, a god book that allows the player to "store" damage and inflict it after the effect expires, Kerapac's wrist wraps, tier 85 magic power gloves that can allow the player to instantly apply all Combust hits in 1 tick after using Dragon Breath within 10 seconds, and the Greater Concentrated Blast ability codex, which upgrades Concentrated Blast to its greater variant, which hits faster and harder. In hard mode, parts of the Fractured Staff of Armadyl are also awarded, a tier 95 two-handed staff.
Arch-Glacor[edit | edit source]

The Arch-Glacor of Leng is a massive being summoned by Wen, that tower over their smaller brethren. Unlike other bosses, the Arch-Glacor is more customisable for normal mode, intended to introduce players to bossing by allowing mechanics to be toggled on and off, albeit at the cost of being less rewarding with fewer active mechanics. It can only be fought alone in hard mode and is similar to Telos, the Warden in terms of reward mechanics.
Rewards for subduing the Arch-Glacor in normal mode include the scripture of Wen, a god book that allows the player to inflict AoE damage and materials to create various items, such the dark ice shard and dark ice sliver, a pair of tier 85 melee weapons, cosmetic wings and upgrades for Kerapac's wrist wraps, gloves of passage and nightmare gauntlets to tier 90. In hard mode, the frozen Core of Leng is added, which combined with the tier 85 weapons and some materials, upgrades them from tier 85 to 95.
Croesus[edit | edit source]

A biological weapon developed by Zarosian alchemists, Croesus is a fungal monstrosity that had caused havoc in the city of Senntisten during the Second Age to the point that even Zaros was forced to intervene. The fight against Croesus mostly revolves around skilling. It uses its powers to choke the life out of its enemies. Unlike the other bosses, Croesus does not have a hard mode option.
Rewards from subduing Croesus include incomplete variants of Sana's fyrtorch, Tagga's corehammer and Cryptbloom armour, a tier 90 magic tank set that has various bonuses with more pieces worn, such as reducing magic and melee damage, increasing damage when attacking targets from behind, and a shield that activates upon the wearer reaching 20% of their health, its durability scaling based on the player's armour rating and Defence levels and lasts for 15 seconds with 120 second cooldown.
Sana's fyrtorch is a tier 80 Woodcutting off-hand that increases log rates by 6%, 20% to double logs and the ability to obtain splintering arrow tips. Tagga's corehammer is a tier 80 Mining off-hand that increases mining critical hit rate by 10%, damage by 35 and the ability to obtain deathspore arrow tips. These two arrowtips can be used with elder logs to create tier 95 arrows with special effects. It also drops a Croesus spore sack, which can be used to create a seed bag to hold up to 40 types of seeds. The core material required for them are its flakes, which can also be used to create a grasping rune pouch, which has a prayer bonus and can hold up to four types of runes. As with the previous two generals, it also drops an according god book, the scripture of Bik, which allows the player to generate catalysts of alteration that awards 1-3 clue scrolls when interacted with.
TzKal-Zuk[edit | edit source]

An ancient human during the Second Age, Zuk is a powerful warrior who claimed the Fight Kiln as his own and ascended into his current form as a demigod. Participating in the God Wars, he was sealed back into the Kiln by Bandos. Unlike the other two combat-ready bosses, players must fight through waves of TzekHaar before Zuk considers them a worthy opponent to face, similarly to the Fight Caves and Fight Kiln in which players had to fight waves of lava creatures and TokHaar before fighting TzTok-Jad and Har-Aken respectively, effectively making him a solo-only boss. As with his predecessors, Zuk's pre-fight waves have TzekHaar variants of Jad and Har-Aken.
In both modes, there are checkpoints that allow the player to "restart" from that wave if they die or teleport. In hard mode, the checkpoint only appears after defeating TzekHaar-Aken, whereas in normal mode, the checkpoints occur after every challenge wave and the waves after the final one. Unlike his predecessors, deaths are not safe.
Players who can defeat Zuk in normal mode can obtain the Magma Tempest ability codex that unlocks the Magma Tempest ability, a basic two-handed ability that targets a 5x5 AoE and damages everything in it for 5-25% of the player's ability damage for eight hits. Players who complete normal mode without using a checkpoint are awarded an igneous stone, used to upgrade the TokHaar-Kal into their igneous Kal variants, providing better stats and buffs to Omnipower, Overpower, Deadshot, and Death Skulls respectively. In hard mode, players can obtain parts of Ek-ZekKil. Those who complete hard mode flawlessly can combine all four capes into a hybrid-cape that has all of their bonuses and effects.
As with the previous generals, he drops an according god book, the scripture of Ful, which allows the player to activate a pseudo-Berserk at the cost of no adrenaline, albeit fivefold weaker.
Zamorak[edit | edit source]

The god of chaos, Zamorak is an ascended Mahjarrat who began his own invasion of Gielinor following the events of Extinction.[3] Unlike the other bosses, Zamorak is not immediately fought, instead players are initially required to complete his corresponding Elite Dungeon, The Zamorakian Undercity. Once the required mini-bosses inside the dungeon are killed, players can then head into the Wilderness Crater to fight Zamorak. Clearing the dungeon is optional once the Conqueror of Chaos achievement is unlocked, which requires one full run of the dungeon. This allows players to immediately battle Zamorak rather than having to go through the entire dungeon.
Zamorak utilises many abilities in the fight and the player can also create their own buffs during the battle and set them in any order, but once a buff is acquired, Zamorak will launch a hex (debuff) in response to the buff being activated.
Players who can defeat Zamorak can acquire the codex of lost knowledge, a blank codex template that can be used to create codices to unlock the Greater Death's Swiftness and Greater Sunshine abilities, which last as long as a Planted Feet variant but can also deal damage. He also drops a codex that unlocks the Chaos Roar ability, a basic melee ability that doubles the damage of the next hit. Other drops include the vestments of havoc armour, tier 95 power armour with tier 70 armour and 100 damage bonuses and parts of the bow of the Last Guardian, a tier 95 bow.

History[edit | edit source]
Prelude[edit | edit source]
Zaros, a divine creation of Mah alongside Seren, sought to become an Elder God himself to stop The Great Revision. However, during his meeting with Jas, he was promptly refused as he could not create life from nothing. At the same time, Jas tasked the World Guardian with proving that mortal life deserved to exist. Believing himself to be up for the task, Zaros attempted to search for ways to do so, but eventually came to the conclusion that Gielinor was a lost cause. Recalling a realm beyond Gielinor that might have what he sought, he decided to head there, making immense preparations in order to do so.
This ended up culminating in the Battle of the Monolith, during which Zaros accessed the Codex and forcefully opened it, unleashing the shadow creatures from Erebus into Gielinor. The Saradominists, Crux Eqal and the World Guardian immediately made a truce with the Zarosians and fought the creatures. However, they proved to be too strong and the World Guardian was forced to call on the aid of the TokHaar, Ful's creations. The TokHaar were able to drive the creatures back and Azzanadra closed the Codex, but too much shadow anima had leaked into Gielinor and the TokHaar immediately declared war on the surface dwellers for what happened. Given that the Elder Gods were active but in a monitoring state, it is likely that they (or Ful) deemed the trial a failure and ordered the TokHaar to attack the surface-dwellers.
Discovery[edit | edit source]
Azzanadra, now having ascended to godhood, quickly realised the grave threat of the Elder Gods' eggs and immediately sought to find a location to hide the eggs to prevent the Elder Gods from touching them and beginning the Great Revision. With the help of Ariane, Charos and the World Guardian, who brought Saradomin, Zamorak, Armadyl and Seren, Azzanadra used his newly acquired power to teleport the eggs from the Elder Halls into his cathedral within Senntisten. The Elder Gods were immediately made aware of the theft, but knowing they could not directly intervene without risking the destruction of the eggs, began preparing their forces to retake the eggs and enact the Great Revision.
Jas was the first to rally and send an army, consisting of Kerapac and the Nodon dragonkin, both having been enslaved to her after Kerapac's attempt to kill the Elder Gods. Using powerful siege weaponry to attack the cathedral, the Nodon were nevertheless held at bay by the World Guardian and the generals and minions of the previous God Wars.
Sometime afterwards, with Jas' attack at a standstill, Wen, in desperation to reclaim her egg, summoned a portal to connect Senntisten and Leng, bringing forth numerous glacytes, glacors and a single Arch-Glacor. Attacking from the south, the Arch-Glacor was stopped at the aqueduct by Azzanadra, Ariane, Charos, Arianwyn, Akthanakos and Enakhra, who combined their magic to collectively weaken the Arch-Glacor.
Though Wen's army initially decimated the opposition, eventually the conflict de-escalated into another stalemate. Seeing this, Bik awakened Croesus, a sentient fungus buried deep beneath Senntisten's graveyard since the Second Age. At the same time, the Nodon were able to push slightly further in, although they were still held back at the staircase to the cathedral. Likewise, the glacytes were able to push further into the southern bridge, necessitating further reinforcements.
Though Croesus annihilated all of the Lumbridge and Varrock guards stationed at the graveyard, the battle once again de-escalated into yet another stalemate. Ful, having an army of her own, was disappointed by the performance of the TokHaar during the Battle of the Monolith and had them march into the kiln once more, remaking themselves as the TzekHaar. She ordered TzKal-Zuk to lead the forces into Senntisten. The TzekHaar invaded Senntisten through the sewers and burst from the fountain north of the cathedral, creating a massive crater and cutting off the alliance's supply lines. At the same time, Croesus's roots crept further toward the cathedral.
Conclusion of the War[edit | edit source]
After a few months of stalemate, and after Zamorak abruptly left his post in the Cathedral, his forces slowly withdrew from the battlefield, leaving the remaining forces to struggle against the Elder Gods' forces: Croesus having managed to physically shift closer to the Cathedral, the Arch-Glacor taking on Azzanadra alone, and the Nodon forces aggressively attacking the Cathedral. Thankfully, the World Guardian arrived in time, after making their way through the TzekHaar forces, to assist each front into stabilising the situations.
When TzKal-Zuk emerged from the Senntisten sewers to attack the Cathedral personally, Seren teleported the Elder Gods' eggs before Saradomin and Armadyl could destroy the eggs in desperation. With the eggs gone, Saradomin, Armadyl, and Azzanadra were able to wrap things up in the battlefield: Armadyl completely incinerated Croesus, Azzanadra banished the Arch-Glacor back to Leng, and Zuk was forced to retreat to the Kiln. With Kerapac and Jas banished to Erebus, the Nodon abruptly awoke from their collective dream, and eventually resettled in Anachronia with the surviving Ilujanka. With the Elder Gods reincarnating on Iaia and Seren promising to keep the young Elders on the then-dead planet, the battle in Senntisten finally ceased.
Saradomin's leftover forces then began to clear the area, such as collecting corpses, dismantling the remaining Nodon cannons, clearing the toxic gases from the Croesus Front and thawing out the Glacor Front.
Second Battle[edit | edit source]
After Zamorak began his invasion of Gielinor, a group of Zamorakian cultists, coven members and demons set up in the undercity. The World Guardian and their allies were forced to clear through them in order to reach Zamorak, as there were mages powering the shield he used to barricade himself at the Wilderness Crater. Eventually, the World Guardian cleared the area and the base was eventually abandoned.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Zamorak's armies are the only god faction able to be fought in all three God Wars Dungeons.

- The Twin Furies and General Graardor were originally intended to have battlefield abilities like the other generals from the first two God Wars Dungeons, and placeholder data for them was added to the game cache with the release of the Nodon Front, although this data only identifies the abilities as "PH NAME". Avaryss, Nymora and General Graardor non-player characters with a "Battlefield ability" right-click option were also added to the game with the Nodon Front, but this option was removed when they were added in-game with the release of the TzekHaar Front. While the Twin Furies possess a unique icon, Graardor's is identical to Gorvek's. The Twin Furies icon was updated with the release of The Zamorakian Undercity, with it previously being a placeholder showing the text "TWIN FURIES".
