The grace of the elves is a non-degradeable necklace that is created by enchanting an alchemical onyx necklace with the Lvl-6 Enchant spell. It provides benefits to gathering skills.

The necklace is tradeable until first equipped, charged, or attuned, at which point it becomes permanently untradeable. There is a warning message when equipping it for the first time to confirm this.

If the wearer dies while opted into PvP, the Grace of the Elves amulet is lost permanently; no item nor coins are dropped for the attacker.

Divination potions (of any tier) cannot be used to bypass the required levels to enter the Max Guild garden's Divination skill portals and this also applies to the grace of the elves.

Using up a Dark Facet of Grace enchantment permanently reduces skill Prayer point drain rate by affected prayers by a further 50% (to 100%) when the necklace is worn, and increases its capacity of sign of the porter charges to 2,000.

Features[edit | edit source]

The grace of the elves provides significant benefits to players training gathering skills, which are Archaeology, Woodcutting, Fishing, Farming, Hunter, Mining, and Divination.

Effect Description
Sign of the porter New and partially-used signs of the porter can be used on the necklace to charge it up to 500 charges, giving the necklace full functionality as a sign of the porter whilst it is worn. This means that most items obtained with gathering skills will be automatically teleported to the player's bank. One charge is consumed for every gathered item teleported to the bank. Sign of the Porter charges will send any applicable ores and archaeology materials to the metal bank and material storage container, not the primary bank. There are also options to charge a single porter or all porters on the necklace when it's worn. The signs of the porter ability can be toggled on or off by choosing the options on the worn necklace.

There are three settings for behaviour for the last porter for which all of the charges can't be used:

  • always warn (there is a confirmation prompt for using the last one)
  • always consume (the last porter will be used without warnings)
  • never consume (the last porter will never be consumed, leaving the necklace below 500 charge).

A good method to collect signs of the porter is to pickpocket Amlodd workers, optionally paired with the sempiternal souvenirs buff from Memorial to Guthix as the memory shards can be transmuted into more porters.

The "check items" item option allows players to see which items will be transported.

Seren spirits When training a gathering skill with the necklace equipped, a Seren spirit (supplemented with a notification and sound) has a 10% chance to spawn once per minute on the first eligible XP drop, lasting 30 seconds. When interacted with, the Seren spirit deposits a random drop from the rare drop table into the player's bank. This may include a Hazelmere's signet ring or Vecna skull provided that the player has a Luck of the Dwarves or Hazelmere's signet ring equipped upon interaction. If the player's bank is full, the item is deposited into their inventory. If their inventory is also full, the item is dropped onto the ground.

Interacting with the Seren spirit does not interrupt gathering actions. It will also appear if protean items are being used to train these skills. It is possible to spawn more than one Seren spirit at once through stalling with an interface and having the additional experience drops roll into the next minute(s).

A Seren spirit appears.

Prayer drain reduction While equipped, it halves the Prayer point drain of the following Seren prayers: Light Form, Superheat Form and Chronicle Attraction.
Configurable skilling teleports The necklace has 2 configurable teleports that can be used to teleport to the player's Max Guild garden's skill portals' attuned teleport locations remotely. When players reconfigure the skilling portal locations, the teleports on the necklace are updated. If the player does not have access to the Max Guild garden (which requires completion of Plague's End to access Prifddinas along with either level 99 in any skill or an equipable Quest Cape), they can attune the necklace to one skilling location of their choice when they first equip the necklace; attuning is free for the first time, but the teleport location cannot be changed until the skill portal is re-attuned in the Max Guild garden.

Tips for effective use[edit | edit source]

  • Utilising a grace of the elves and an ancient elven ritual shard, players using either Superheat Form or Chronicle Attraction (not Light Form) can regulate their lost prayer points due to the shard's ability to restore up to 37.5% of the user's maximum prayer points, which is greater than the prayer points lost when using either of these two Seren prayers in conjunction with the necklace.
  • With level 98-99 Prayer, while wearing a grace of the elves, super prayer renewal potions restore more prayer points than Light Form drains over the same duration. Wearing prayer equipment, carrying a holy wrench, or using the ancient elven ritual shard for extra prayer point restoration will reduce both the minimum prayer level required to achieve this and the number of potions used.
  • Toggling the grace of the elves prevents the sign of the porter effect from activating. This can be useful in preventing undesired consumption of charges.
  • As the Seren spirit spawns sporadically and lasts for only 30 seconds, it may be preferable to pay attention whilst skilling. However, when a Seren spirit appears, a sound effect will play, making it possible to catch Seren spirits somewhat reliably if sound effects are kept unmuted while training.
  • Spirit attraction potions can be used to automatically catch seren spirits. Using a 6 dose spirit attraction flask on a potion reservoir helps maximise AFK potential.
  • Seren spirits can spawn while capping at the Clan Citadel.
  • Seren spirits can spawn while using protean traps and protean memories.
  • Seren spirits can spawn even if no resources are being gathered due to the use of crystallise.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Before release, a planned item named "Ingenuity of Humans" had the abilities to store signs of the porter and teleport to the Max Guild. These functionalities were merged with the grace of the elves and the name moved to the then-named lucky strike sigil.
  • Even if the player has attuned their max garden portal(s), the necklace will still show the option to teleport to the max garden. This will open a window to choose which area to teleport to.
