The basilisk boss is an especially strong basilisk that can only be fought once, during the Desert Slayer Dungeon miniquest.

Killing the basilisk boss gives the player a reward of 1,000 Slayer experience. Like its regular brethren, it can drain stats and deal high damage if a mirror shield or Mask of Reflection is not equipped. However, its draining effect cannot be completely avoided by wearing a mirror shield or a Mask of Reflection.
