A rock slug is a Slayer monster that requires level 20 Slayer to kill. A bag of salt or a salt shaker is required to finish it off. They mostly drop low level stone spirits, and are therefore unpopular.

Locations[edit | edit source]

Strengths and weaknesses[edit | edit source]

Rock slugs can only be successfully killed with a bag of salt (which is used up) or salt shaker when their life points drop to 1-607 (15% of their maximum life points). Fortunately, bags of salt stack and are plentiful in the Slayer Equipment shop and in the Grand Exchange. If the bag of salt is accidentally used before the rock slug is reduced to 607 or less life points, it will still be used up but have no effect. It would be wise to bring a few extra because of this. If a rock slug's health is reduced to 1 but a bag of salt is not used on it, the rock slug is "frozen" in place, unable to move or retaliate, even after it regains some life points.

Drops[edit | edit source]
