Moss golems exclusively use melee attacks. A moss golem's melee attack has halberd-type range and, like the other inhabitants of the Lost Grove, they deal extremely high damage. To avoid this, it is best to either bind or run from the golem as it makes its way towards you. Another strategy would be to use Ice Blitz on legacy mode, or have Ice Barrage key binded.
During the fight, if the moss golem takes too long to kill, it will say *glug glug*, throwing its head into a random spot near it. Audible popping sounds will be heard when it does this. If it is still not killed, the head will turn into a level 91 mossy rock that will assist the golem in dealing damage. This can be avoided by standing on top of the tile that the head appears on. Killing the moss golem will also kill all mossy rocks it summoned.
The moss golem may be able to attack as far as 9 tiles away, and may not be affected by Ice Barrage despite having the bound effect upon it.
This entity rolls the rare drop table. Luck-enhancing items are not required to access the table, but they will increase the chance of accessing the rare drop table and may also improve the loot received from it.
In preparation for Solak's release at the end of the month, blight bolts have been added to the drop tables of the Lost Grove creatures. Blight bolts will be the ammo used in the new tier 92 blightbound crossbow.
