Dreams come true, for local youngsters

Dreams come true, for local youngsters

Date: 2012-08-29
Despite the dust from the aQuellé Tour Durban, presented by Spur, having settle some months back the positive impact of this popular Durban road cycling event still lingers.

Proceeds from this year's event were handed over to Indlela, a non-profit organisation based at and run by Durban North's Church of the Good Shepherd, recently amounting to a staggering R125 000.

These funds will go a long way in the further development of Indlela's existing programmes which aim to help vulnerable, broken and impoverished people find the way to a brighter future by addressing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Two of the programmes youngsters, Sthe Ngubo and Talent Mkhize, who participated in this year's race and showed some promising potential on a bike, also received a major surprise when they were given support and new equipment which will enable them to further their cycling passion.
