Dharma Mindfulness Day

Dharma Mindfulness Day

Date: 2017-08-04

The Dharma Day idea started over a cup of tea after Yoga one morning....a bunch of Yogi's day-dreaming on how we can make a change to people's lives and the world perhaps in however small humble way.

To live your true Dharma a person lives in accordance with the laws of nature and one's own destiny. It seems so many people out there are quitting their jobs to start perhaps something more meaningful, pursue a new passion, or launch forth into the world to create change, achieve a vision, and spark transformation. There seems to be an urgency to create a life more meaningful for ourselves and others.

We are hoping with these Dharma days to plant small seeds in order to help inspire people to find their true Dharma.

Our theme with this Dharma day is Mindfulness- simply explained is a practical way to notice thoughts, physical sensations, smells etc....but because it is so different to how our minds normally behave it takes much practice. The wellness team would like to show participants small ways to be completely present in the moment, mindfully aware of each moment good or bad in a non-judgemental way.

We would like to thank Wendy O Grady and Ray van Der Poll for creating this beautiful space at Shapes of Africa in Mount Moreland where we can come to find re-newal, restoration, rest and inspiration.

Namaste
