Cruising down memory lane with the new Volvo S60

The first time I laid eyes on this magnificent machine I had a tune from Dallas going in my head. You know that piece when you see Bobby Ewing driving down the Suffolk ranch lane in his big American car.
The new Volvo S60 is lush and opulent not just in size but also in its design. The simple long lines in its front and rear is so impressive you just want to stroke it and the interior is just a magnificent masterpiece everything from the dashboard to the centre. Oh, and did I mention the seats? I love everything about Scandinavia design. Beautiful, simple shapes and surfaces with any unnecessary chaos, it all fits so naturally. The interior and exterior ooze sophistication and country club splendour.
The interior is dedicated to attention to detail, which uses authentic materials like wood and leather to enhance the comfort and eye appeal. The easy-to-use controls contribute to the in-command driving experience.Driving on a dusty country road through the Clearwater Farm in Shakas Head to visit my 'bestie' Tony, with my faithful pooch Riley on the back seat, the Dallas tune hits me again. I am totally smitten and in love with the experience. The soft suspension glides through the potholes effortlessly. Volvo manufacturers are true masters at making vehicles their customers fall in love with and stay in love for generations
Please note the new S60 is available with three engines from the all-new four-cylinder Drive-E engine family: The 306 hp petrol turbo T6, the 245 hp T5 and the turbo diesel D4 with 181 hp. A new 8-speed automatic gearbox contributes to a refined drive and excellent fuel economy. Fuel consumption in an S60 D4 with manual gearbox is down to a class-leading 3.8 l/100 km, translating into CO2 emissions at 99 g/km.
