Italian Gourmet at its best! - CaffÈ Italia's new home in Glen Ashley

Italian Gourmet at its best! - CaffÈ Italia's new home in Glen Ashley

CaffÈ Italia has finally opened its new restaurant in the Eastman's Superspar complex in Glen Ashley. It has been an interesting transition for owner Milko Conti who needed to wait for his new premises for eighteen months before finally moving in July.

"I was given 48 days to move out of my space in Sunningdale." Milko tells The Bugle, "It took me completely by surprise. This is when I approached Darren East from Eastman's Spar for help. I knew that this was where I wanted to be when I stood in the parking lot and saw the magnificent views."

There is an interesting mood in the new restaurant, it is off course bigger, however it has managed to retain its cosy ambiance, with Milko overseeing the entire service from the moment you step into the restaurant until you leave, you will be looked after with that gentle Italian style hospitality.

Milko comes from a generation of Italian Chefs, but he is very modest about his heritage and wants to stress that even though his mother has had a great deal to do with his pasta dishes, his signature pizza dishes are his own creation.

"In 2011, Rocco stepped into my restaurant and changed the way I make my pizza." Said Milko, "Rocco spent two years travelling through Italy learning the art of pizza making. Today I have many toppings combinations that are unique to CaffÈ Italia."

The pizzas are truly out of this world. With toppings like Chorizo, Chicken and lamb shank, just a few examples of what there is to choose from. Milko also caters for people who are gluten intolerant and are on a banting diet.

There is something sexy and romantic about the new CaffÈ Italia venue. The dÈcor is Venetian inspired with black and red accents. The sublime garlic and oregano aromas wafting from the boisterous kitchen are sensuous and inviting. The soft Italian music and the 180-degree expansive views stretching past the harbour and north to Umdloti, add that special element to the whole dining experience.

There is no denying that CaffÈ Italia has found its new perfect home. They still offer free delivery in a 3 to 5km radius and a small delivery fee for anything beyond that distance. The pizzas are well priced and are more affordable than some of the national franchise brands.

Mondays are special days at CaffÈ Italia, they are days to feast and celebrate. Milko offers 25% off most pizzas and pastas for his sit down guests on a Monday night, so do not miss out, book your table today and taste the sublime flavours of Italy with Milko's delicious new menu.
