Ballito Spring Festival

Ballito Spring Festival

Date: 2012-09-12
Little Mr and Miss Country and Western competition first category Girls ages 4 - 6. Judge was Patricia Lewis, (Patricia was also the MC), Second Judge,Manuella Botha, Winner, Mila Spencer, 1st Princess, Skye Putzier, 2nd Princess, Christian Murison. It was a fun competition and children were merely judged on confidence, friendliness and their outfits.

The Ballito Spring Festival was well attended by approximately 1,000 plus visitors and locals.

"The idea this year was to promote local business to support each other and to make the locals aware of all the great local restaurants and Hotels and fun things to do." Said Events organizer Cee Lansdell, "I managed to get so many meal vouchers sponsored but must also mention that the Spar Lifestyle sponsored us with a 12 gear bicycle which was auctioned off much to the delight of the crowd."

"Calico's Craft made our lovely sign for the stage and the Mad Hatters donated hundreds of toys, so did PNA which we gave away to children in the crowd."

"The response was amazing and I believe we have started a wonderful concept within the Ballito community, it sure was worth the hours of walking, knocking and begging!" said Cee Landsdell.

"Now we really hope that the good spirit continues throughout this wonderful project - no need for locals to drive elsewhere for a nice meal or to simply buy stationery of groceries."

The proceeds of the festival will be used towards building a new church for AGS in Ballito.
